It seems to me that everyone has fallen victim to their own hype.
If everyone had stopped to think that, if the water gun had made it through, then it would have been a simple piece of furniture that you could place down in your house and not the much hyped tool. Making it a tool that you could hold and carry around town with no preexisting template to be based upon would have been impossible for Nintendo- City Folk was opened for downloadable content, yes, but not entirely new item types as this water gun was projected to be. Never expect anything more than Furniture, clothing, patterns and hats/accessorys because that's all they can add into the coding.
We may still get the water gun yet as Summer is only just beginning, but to expect any more than a simple item than you can place somewhere in your house is expecting WAY too much.
Also, you guys have no place even complaining about how Nintendo is handling the additional content! They're giving it to us all for free and on a pretty good schedule; This is the first time Nintendo has done anything like this and to complain about it makes you guys look like a bunch of ungrateful jerks.

well, what made me so mad was the fact that nintendo said that they were releasing a water gun.
