Just for future reference/Gracie checks, you don't really need to be wearing a complete set to pass.

I passed the "modern" theme with just the shirt and accessory being "modern" (the accessory seems to weigh in pretty high, as she'll turn you away if you're not wearing one). Course, I saved before the check and looked at a guide to make sure I wasn't wearing anything from a theme that clashed and would cause me to fail.
