Is there a list somewhere of the characters that come with the sloppy and cardboard items in their homes? I'm thinking about going without a snooty for a bit.

Rasher has the sloppy table and sofa.

Wendell, a regular in Harvey's has the sloppy sink and table.

Benjamin, Marshal and Mott have a good chunk of the set in their homes. I think Benjamin might be the one with the most of it!

Gaston has the sloppy bed and sloppy lamp plus a couple of cardboard items.

I have Mott, and yes he has sloppy furniture, but I've never been able to get any of it off him.
I use the flea market, leaving 4 empty - and have never had sloppy put in there either.
I have got sloppy items in my inventory, so have been given them at some point (plus the ones off Wendell), but I have got others... & I can't remember how.
Maybe in the end easier to trade for the series.

Would someone happen to know what items Wolfgang, Mott and Benjamin have?

Mott: Sloppy sofa, Sloppy stereo, Sloppy TV and Cardboard table.

Benjamin: Sloppy sofa, Sloppy Table, Sloppy sink, Sloppy TV, Sloppy Dresser, Sloppy stereo and Sloppy bed.

Wolfgang: Only has the Cardboard table

Looks like Gaston is the only one with the sloppy lamp so far, and Benjamin with the dresser. I haven't seen the sloppy or cardboard closet mentioned

I also had Mott - never was able to buy items in his house but he once put his sloppy stereo up for sale.
Gaston sold me his sloppy bed yesterday!

Otherwise Last year I maxed out my Feng Shui in my mayors house.
Ever since I did that the chances of a cardboard furniture or sloppy furniture went WAY UP.

Also in my other town (now sold to Nook RIP) the mayor had completed the fairy tale challenge.
Now looking back I realize that I got way more sloppy items. Could be related?!!

All the villagers have sloppy and cardboard items in their inventory. The villagers have a full inventory.
Found a sloppy clock for sale from Tutu at retail. She was a villager that the game gave me.

To get sloppy/cardboard furniture clear out your retail. Don't give any items to your villagers. They will start selling their items in their house/inventory. I did this only in my spare town where I didn't care about the villagers houses. Completed 7 sets. They sold the floor and wall too.

Iggly has the stereo and it went missing one day. Gave him one of my extra sloppy stereo to replace it. He hasn't moved it out in a long time.

Update: Ozzie - a lazy - who doesn?t have any sloppy furniture - just today is selling a cardboard sofa.

This is a newer town - he?s only been in my town for a week.

Honestly sometimes it seems random - but when you play day by day I think it increases the chances.

I?ve never had a normal, peppy or Uchi or snooty sell sloppy furniture....

...so if you really want it - fill your town with jocks and lazies...and Gaston!

To clarify - I recently visited Gaston?s house - and he wouldn?t let me buy anything else except his sloppy bed!

It?s worth a try.

My Tangy conjured up a sloppy stereo some time ago. I've read somewhere that sending seashells to your dudes makes them more likely to sell stuff. Not sure if it is true. Of course there was at least one person there that liked to make stuff up and claimed it proven by someone.
