So I’m in the landscaping phase of my town, and before I put down too many plants/PWPs... I’d like some feedback on the path system I’ve got laid out, if anyone’s interested ^^

It’s intended as sort of a bus route through major parts of town- near the campsite, the couple of neighbourhoods, the mayors house, the plaza, the hall & retail; fairly direct & without a lot of winding around. Does it get to those areas well? Is it easy enough to navigate, does it leave some decently open space for things to be added?

It is intended only to cover those bits of town- I’m aiming to encourage exploration and looking around, that’s why like half the town is off the beaten track, as it were xD most PWP locations/styles are works in progress, the only certain placements are the ‘bus stops’, fountains, & two of the bridges (the one up at the north of town is probably gonna go xD).

Dream address is 5A00-0165-33BB! Thanks for your time!

I'm definitely not the best person to give advice on this, but I went and checked out for dream town regardless ! :)

From the perspective of a dumb person who doesn't do QRs:
I loved that as soon as I spawn in, the pathways started in the perfect spot that when my character got out of bed, I landed right on them. Was greeted by Mitzi whomst called your home small. :o

I followed your pathways in every way they could possibly take me, it all was super easy to navigate and made sense. I liked the placements of the street lights and benches ! And I liked how all of your pathways lead to something, there's no "end" to them that doesn't stop at an important spot. I did notice you're missing a piece of QR by your brick bridge, next to Paine's house though. And there is definitely a lot of open space for you to keep adding things !

I didn't really understand the palm tree QR part, I'm guessing that was all "under construction" xD
And is that one rock in front of your suspension bridge real? Cause OOF.

I liked that the campsite was right next to one of the bus spots--as if they just got off their stop and are squatting in your town. And I love that your villager houses are placed in duos !! I swear that's the best way. Off topic, but Bud's house was kind of scary---four chairs all lined up to watch a giant shark LOL

Yeaah xD I noticed after uploading, I fixed a couple of the missing spots, and /yep/ that’s a real rock in front of the bridge xD the two in front of town hall are as well...

But thanks so much! :D that was /exactly/ all that I was going for- the path to go around the biggest landmarks, without a set ‘direction’, and I’m so glad to hear that bit in the plaza lines up with where the dream starts, I had to wing it there xD & same with the campsite location! :D

Thanks so much for the feedback!

I'll check out the dream address when I get home. What kind of theme are you going for?

The overall aesthetic for interior design & villager picks is influenced by vaporwave & similar sort of 80s/90s summer nostalgia- the town layout itself is supposed to be kind of split; one that’s sort of ‘nice tidy and new’ suburbs and the other part will be more... kind of like an old park or natural area that’s not kept up with much any more. The human resident houses are all heavily WIP as are the PWPs, I just want to have some feedback on the paths before I start landscaping around them xD

I visited! It's really nice. I don't know if the dream only has the tile presented, but I do like it. I found this that matches close to it, however it's overrun by flowers. Maybe in a combination of the two this one can symbolize the "less kept" nature part of your town.

Thanks for checking it out! :D And yeah- it's just that one tile variety xD The suggestions are nice, thanks! That said though, I'm going to be sticking to the one type- my set already eats up almost every pattern spot on the side characters (I tried leaving at least 2 open on each of them for clothing/misc. designs later on; and I want the mayor's as clear as possible for incidental needs xD), and I wanted to keep the patterns in this town to ones I've made myself xD

I may not have been entirely clear on what I wanted feedback on... ^^; I'm perfectly happy with the design of the tile, it's the actual pathway layout I want to hear about- if it leads well to the villager setups/major buildings (police station and the two NPCs aside), if it's easy to follow, that kinda thing xD

Bump- I’ve recently changed it up! The bridge placements are all close-ish now, I realize, but does it make areas a little more accessible, at least between the main town & the mayors house/The Roost?
