I haven't played on my DS in like a month and I feel like I wasted my money on HHD...

I specifically feel like a good console game! Which ones should I get??? Christmas is coming up too.

I can't decide though... I want Star Fox Zero just because I haven't played in forever and I want Xenoblade X too... but any games that would carry for a long time?

Sorry this is so confusing idk tl;dr i need a good game or two bc im bored. not too complicated for noob plz

Splatoon is quite fun if you haven't played
Any Zelda game is great
Professor Layton also keeps be busy

Ahhh Splatoon is also on the top of my list! I've beat Wind Waker and loved that, but I'm not so fond of other zelda games v.v

Do you have Mario Kart 8 or Smash bros for 3DS/Wii U? Those are good games. And also, why not try Pokemon for once in your life if you haven't.

What Legend of Zelda games have you played that you're not too fond of? I really like Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, but I wouldn't recommend them if it's not your thing. The other popular one is Twilight Princess.

For WiiU I'd recommend:
Splatoon
Mario Kart 8
Hyrule Warriors
Rayman Legends
Yoshi's Woolly World
Smash Brothers for WiiU
Xenoblade Chronicles X (which I've pre-ordered, it looks gorgeous!)

For 3DS:
Pokemon, X or Y if you've beaten Ruby or Sapphire recently. If not, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are pretty long games. Definitely worth their price for me.
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time 3D
Legend of Zelda, Majora's Mask 3D
Legend of Zelda, A Link Between Worlds
Fantasy Life
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate 3DS
Bravely Default
Smash Bros for the 3DS, especially if you have a New 3DS
Xenoblade Chronicles, ONLY if you have a New 3DS, as it will not play on the non-"New" models.

I don't know if you have the game already but Luigi's Mansion 2 is fun to play and it has online!

For Wii U i would say Super Mario Maker!

3DS
- Professor Layton Series
I'm generally not a fan of story line. Its usually not intriguing enough to me but all of the Professor Layton games had incredibly well written story lines. The Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton one had me guessing the entire way. The puzzles were also fun to solve.

- Fantasy Life
It was a very interesting concept and there was a lot to do. Its also super fun to play in multiplayer. Its one of my most played 3DS games.

- Story of Seasons
If you're looking for a relaxing game that you can play at your own pace, this is a good one. Its kind of a 'spin off' of the Harvest Moon series. It has much of the same game play as before except now you can rent plots and different merchants come into town.

Wii U
- Splatoon
I hate FPS games and I'm also ridiculously horrible at them (I consistently killed my friend in Halo & I have never made a kill in CoD). That said, Splatoon was extremely enjoyable for me. The goal of the game is to paint as much of the arena in your team color as possible. It wasnt necessary for me to kill people help out my team.

- Mario Kart 8
I'm a huge fan of the Mario Kart series so I'm biased.

- Hyrule Warriors
It's essentially a Legend of Zelda version of Dynasty Warriors. This was mostly my boyfriends game but I had a lot of fun just wandering around smacking things until they died.

This is all I can think of off the top of my head. I'll probably add more when I can think of them xD

You might want to post a list of the games you already own, then i know which other games i can recommend :p

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and Xenoblade Chronicles X are a must.
Everyone else has covered the other games I would have mentioned.

Would you recommend Hyrule Warriors for someone that hasn't really played the Zelda series? Zelda always intrigues me but I'm not sure I would like it. I played Zelda on the original gameboy but since then I haven't really gotten into it...
