Looking for ideas for a band/gaming room

Hi everyone!
So here's the story: My boyfriend got ACNL years ago and while he got bored with building up his own town pretty fast, he really enjoys playing with me and spending time at my town, especially since we're on different continents currently, so it's nice to at least have "Animal Crossing dates" rather than nothing.
Anyway!
Since he spends most of his AC time at my town I thought it would be a cute idea to give him his own room in my house and I need some help planning it. He likes playing the bass in a band and gaming so I thought I'd make it a band/gaming basement kind of room? I'll probably use some of the guitars and the drums then the flat screen tv and sloppy sofa? Or I don't know.. I really need help with how to set it up (so that both themes go together) and what floor/walls and furniture to use.
If you have any pictures of own or others rooms (please credit) that would be awesome too!

i think picking his favorite kk song so that the instruments you have set out play along to it would be really awesome, he would love that. That's my one idea! Also try and get the double neck guitar dlc, that's a cool an novel item to put into a band room .
The metal guitar also, and maybe the ukelele, I will give you mine for free if you want cause I think this is so sweet.

Do you happen to have Happy Home Designer by any chance? Maybe that can help with ideas. If you don't, I'd def buy the instruments your boyfriend likes the most for starters. If you're trying to create a band room, I think the Cityscape Wallpaper looks great with the instruments. I think the Lunar Wall (or the Sporty Wall) could look really nice as an outdoor evening concert hall & the Ringside Seating Wall would look great if you're going for an interior concert/band room.

I would definitely get spotlights to hang on the walls and wall speakers. Floor speakers (I can't remember the exact name, sorry) and the mic stand is also a definite. Maybe have a small table with two chairs on each side so you can both sit. Maybe put a food item on the table or a coffee?

Ive got a jazz nightclub in one of my rooms. it has the piano, the bass, the drumset, and a microphone. and ive got chairs set up for like a small audience. it only takes up half the room

I'd definitely use the game shelf item (the shelf with the GameCube on it), customized to black or beige, and maybe the Wii Balance Board. It's kind of pointless since you can't stand on it or anything--but it does add to the gaming room aesthetic!

That's cute, you're making him a man cave.
I think a band instrument set + a microphone would be fine with the sloppy furniture and TV, seems realistic that way. Maybe put some records on the walls, too? Maybe one of those wall-mounted spotlight things. Could make an outfit for him that's his style and put it on display. Maybe have some food sitting out, too. Like the lunch tray or something. Too bad there's not a pizza in game.

@toukool: I do have HHD that's a great idea! Although I don't play it that much and don't have all the items but it will definitely help!

@Athelwyn: I had no idea you could customize the game shelf! Perfect! I considered it but thought the pink would look out of place, haha!

@etsusho: Records on the wall is a great idea! I made him a shirt in New Leaf once that is just black and says "some badass metal band" in white letters. It became a running gag and I eventually had a real T-shirt made after it and gave it to him for his birthday! I should definitel display that!

I have an arcade in one of my rooms. You could probably substitute the spherical radar and tabletop games with a drum set and guitars.
