Looking for general town layout advice!

Hi! Basically I'm asking for your opinions on several different things,
Firstly where would put the villagers if this was your town,
Secondly, where would you put the Cafe,
Lastly, where would you put the campsite.



You do not by any means have to answer all three of my questions, you can answer as many as you want. Any feedback is greatly appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read this thread .

I'm not sure about the others, but I would place the campsite either between the town hall and plaza or beneath the plaza itself; if this were my town, it would give me an extra incentive to check the plaza every day. My map is similar to yours, just flipped so my plaza is all the way on the left, and I built my house all the way on the right... so I often forget to check and see if we have any visitors my villagers haven't mentioned.

I would keep the villagers either all along the strip they're currently occupying, or confine them to the bottom half of the town (separated by the river). Either way frees up a lot of area for PWPs and the like.

I think your villagers have chosen a great place, I would try to keep the rest of them on the left side of the river.

The campsite I would put at the bottom near the beach, either left or right to the gap from the beach. Another place I'd consider would be right to the bridge, while removing that bridge in the future.
I think that corner would fit great for the cafe too, but I'd also consider the left site of it.

It all really depends on where the bridges would be, too.

Thank you for you reply! I am definitely going to move bridge so that would be a great spot for either the Cafe or campsite, I also like the idea of using the area to the left of the bridge too! Thank you for your advice!

I would suggest putting your cafe by the spot to the right of the bridge. Another nice place to put the cafe would be to the left of the pond i think. Most of your villagers are in a nice spot, so you should let them stay in that area. For your bridges, i think putting them where mine are would be a good idea. Lastly, for the campsite i think the bottom left corner would be nice or in the area left to the bridge. Good luck on your town! If you want to visit mine, PM me.

Wow. I wonder if there are two maps closer than that. This is like the spot the differences in the pictures game. Here's what I noticed:

1. BeanBoy's town has a pond in the northwest area while coney's does not.
2. Coney's town has the side ramp on the south part of the cliff while BeanBoy has one on the north part.
3. The horizontal ramps are facing opposite directions.
4. Coney's river is curvier while BeanBoy's is mostly straight.
5. The waterfalls and ponds are different shapes even though both are in the same place.
6. Beanboy's beach has an indent on the south part of the beach while Coney's does not.
7. They have different plaza shapes.

These are really great ideas! Thank you so much, I'll probably put my campsite to the left of my current bridge,(which I'll move to above retail, like yours) and my Cafe probably around Re-Tail somewhere! Thank you so much for your reply!

I would either keep the houses along that strip where they are now or all on the lower half of the map. I feel like the campsite works best away from all the other buildings as it is a campsite after all, putting right next to the town hall would make the camper look like a tramp. I also think they cafe would look nice alongside re-tail.

Thanks for the reply, greatly appreciated! I think I'll keep all my villagers along that strip and the last ones to move in will go along there nicely! I think the campsite looks good on its own so maybe I'll put it to the left of the current bridge and the Cafe will go near Re-tail when I unlock it! Thanks!

No problem, at the end of the day it's your town and your decision. You may find somewhere totally great to put them.

Personally, I like having the campsite near the waterfall. I also always place a lot of cedar trees behind the campsite so it looks like a mini campground. I'll also create a 2nd character and leave them in the tent so it looks even more like a campground. I just think it's cute and fitting
