you have to be okay with homebrew and some silliness!! and we'd play on discord ^^

I'm on the same boat as @ therandompuppy, I do really love boardgames, but I've never gotten the chance to play D&D. I went as far as to buying the Essentials Kit... but it's hard to find people who are interested... totally understand if you'd rather play with more experienced players, no hard feelings!

You get the hang of how things work really quick. the newest version of D&D (Often shortened as D&D5e because it's the 5th edition) made the system much easier and accessable to new players. and it is really popular because of it.
I love D&D but as mentioned before, I won't be joining

I'll have to look into it, I did get an essentials kit and I believe that is part of 5e but I'd need to check. I also don't even know where to begin regarding class and race, so many options!

All major characters have roleplaying notes included and the document comes complete with a full-size environmen."

I'm not sure what's going on... I'll DM you in a bit, I tried looking it up and I just want to clarify if it's because of those reasons.
As oblivious as I am as to what's going on with the company, I think free content is supporting the Authors of that content, sure they're hired by the company but it's like getting mad at a waiter for something the cook did.... BUT like I said, I'm very ignorant on this topic so I can't really comment on it.

i agree but im uncomfortable with touching anything WOTC has released and put their hands on now
