Buying Looking For Axes

Hi! I'm remodeling my town and I need some axes. My Gardening Store refuses to sell any axes, and every axe I've gotten it's broken after chopping down just a few trees.

I'm willing to buy any axe for any price (as long as it's under 30k) and possibly trade.

You sure you're not just unlucky with your gardening store not selling axes? I got one from my newly opened store. You can have it if you wish. For a modest 6,000 bells and maybe a chance to be your friend ;o. I'd also be willing to banter to lower the price of the axe

Well, on the first day the gardening store opened I bought a axe, and I broke it that day so I waited until the next day to buy another, and after that it just stopped selling axes. I started buying everything there and the next day seeing if the store sold an axe. Also, 6k is okay.
