Long house visits

Becky has been in my house, in my 2nd town, for over AN HOUR for a visit and still hasn't left!

I have showed all the rooms. I know I can stop it at anytime I want, but I afraid it won't count towards my friendship level.

I think it's fine if you leave whenever, I don't think it would affect your friendship level negatively with your villager.

i always show them a few rooms or let them walk aroud for less than 5 minutes and then i just leave

same here- i walk out front door- they stop you and say goodbye. the game always does the positive request-met tune, and the villager always mails me a gift.

Looks like Miss Becky is extending her welcome way too long. That is odd though. Usually once I show them all my rooms, they leave within 5 minutes of being in my house. Maybe she won't leave until she sees all your rooms. Usually when they see the last room in your house, they're out. I highly doubt you exiting your house to make her leave will decrease your friendship; she'll still write you a letter saying "thank you for letting me in your house blah blah here's a present".

Well that's weird. Usually I'll show them all my rooms, then after two minutes they'll leave on their own. Sometimes they leave the very second I show them my last room! You can just leave like the others said, it won't hurt your friendship. The fact that they visited you in the first place increases it.

I hate it when villagers come over to my house. Their house, fine, I can leave after a minute. But my house? They always overstay their welcome. They're usually at my house for 5 minutes, which is more than enough. I can't even imagine a whole hour.

Well, a few minutes after the first post, Becky FINALLY left. All I did was talk to her a few times and shortly after, she left.

I guess you have to talk to them in every room, otherwise they won't leave.

Also I have to note is that I've had closed my 3DS closed, while she visited.

i didnt know villagers could stay up to 1 hour O.O i cant even stand a 5min house visit but i have to do it for the friendship.

New Leaf is the first Animal Crossing game I've played. When Rodeo came for a visit, he stayed for over an hour. I didn't realize at the time I could just leave but I ended up sticking it out until he finally left. Like others I was afraid if I left my house to soon it would affect my friendship level with the visiting villager. Over time I learned to get over it, I allow a 5-7 min visit, after that I outta there!
