how mad do you have to be for you to say 'omfg okay im DONE with this game!'

iAM, SOOOOOOOOO RIDICULOUSLY FREAKEN ANGRY RIGHT NOW!!!! LIKE, THIS WAS THE ICING ON THE CAKE FOR ME..

SO I FINALLY GOT JULIAN BACK! I LOOOOOVE JULIAN, HE ONE DAY LEFT WITHOUT TELLING ME, I WAS HUGELY DISAPPOINTED! SO I GOT HIM BACK, I TOTALLY PLOT RESETTED FOR HIM, [well actually i just picked flowers up and blocked spaces so he could move into the spot Whitney just left bc thats what ii always do bc ii have edactly where their house should go so it can be even] ..... SO ANYWHO! I HAD BEEN TT TO GET Whitney OUT, she left, ii picked Julian UP!! .. i GO TO THE NEXT DAY AND HES NOT IN THE SPOT!!!!!! THERES NOTHING BHT FLOWERS AND STUPID FOSSILS WHERE THE HOUSE SHOULDA BEEN... Julian DECIDED TO PARK HIS BEHIND RIGHT ON MY PATH TO MY FREAKEN GARDEN SQUEEZING HIMSELF BETWEEN FAUNA AND COCO!!!!!

LIKE I LITERALLY SHUT MY DS AND CHUCKED IT SOMEWHERE!!!! IDK IF IM GONNA PLAY ANYMORE! IDK HOW TO FIX THIS!! IM PROBABLY GONNA HAVE TO KNOCK LIKE 4-5 PWPS DOWN!

im gonna cry, ii worked incredibly hard on my town!!!! i cant go through another 16 villagers to get him back!! ii did it once and it took foreverrrrr im so sad!

why didnt ii do a run of the perimeter 1st!!!??? im devastated.. idk how i can fix this! that took alot of landscaping, my time put in bushes and every thing now its gonna be uneven :(

I am sorry to hear this, it definitely is annoying when a villager places their house in the wrong place... :/ To prevent this in the future, I highly recommend plot resetting (using a temporary character) and placing patterns all over town (to narrow down where they can possibly land since they will not plot on patterns unless there is absolutely nowhere to go) to have complete control of where the villager house lands. If you want to expedite the process of fixing this (& not worry about adjusting your town around their current placement), just scan an Amiibo in to force Julian out and then scan Julian's Amiibo card to force out the villager you temporarily moved in their place to invite them back quickly without having to cycle through villagers. I hope this helps and I hope this doesn't happen again to you. o/

Wait I thought that villagers couldn't place their house on top of a pattern in the new update??

Due to how programming logic works (thinking conditional statements), there has to be a back up/fall back method in order to prevent the game from breaking or glitching out.

a temp. character as in an Amiibo Card that ii need to go buy, all too late though ugh.. :( this is just awful.. bht on a good note ii guess, iam gonna buy Julian! and Merengue!!! she was my longest villager, her little house was on the cliff across the bridge from my own house! gosh ii miss her!! ty for the advice.. so ive got it planned! and thats what im going to do, ii cant wait im so excited, so now ii just have to wait it out!! maybe do alittle youtube searching on how to exactly use Amiibo Cards bc ii have no clue on what to do/push lol

exactly!!! to which is why ii thought it wouldnt happen, bht ii guess it was my fault though bc it wouldnt have happened had ii went back to check the plot before ii moved to the next day.. ii was just so happy ii got him, that ii hurried and got off to go eat dinner and didnt remember what ii did other than getting him..

Yeah but... there was clearly a space open for the villager to move into. It's not like there wasn't a single space in town open for a house. Just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, but I'm glad you've figured out how to handle it. The same thing happened to me not too long ago. I wanted to get Anicotti when she randomly showed up in my spare town because she was my best friend in my original GameCube town. I waited for what felt like ages to move Anabelle out because her house was where I wanted Anicotti to plot. Then, I cycled Anicotti out of my spare town and picked her up through streetpass.

I didn't know that her plot would show up the same day so I didn't plot reset. Silly me, I had missed one single tile that left a 3x3 space open elsewhere and that's where Anicotti decided to plot. At least I knew it was my fault, but it doesn't seem like that was the case with you.

I also caved in and bought her Amiibo card along with a few others so I could get it fixed and get her back right away. Just be aware that when you move the new villager in, they will likely favor the plot that Julian is in now. They will go to other open spots if you keep trying, though, so make sure you plot reset because there's no way to block the area off with tiles again since Julian is already there.

Another tip I use is to fill the space you want the villager to plot with flowers that you don't mind getting crushed. That will keep fossils and the gem rock from spawning in the open plot.

I would buy a fanmade via etsy, ($4) considering the real cards for top tier villagers are $20+.

there totally was! like literally the same spot someone had just left

I'm guessing a fossil or gem rock spawned in the open plot.

is that what stops someone from moving into a spot? instead of putting down qr codes, ii should have just buried fossils all around my town then!! like thats ridiculous! they tell you the wont move over them bht still do, or @ least have let you waited 1 day til after you ask them to move with you, that way you know you have a day to make preperations.. lol

oh! ii just did my research! im going make my own! ppl selling Merengue, Julian even on Etsy are still asking for alot! so theres no point in buying them bc ii could use that to make it :)

interesting, so if i buy a Card and want to scan them in, ii have to choose someone to kick out, and if i pick Julian, ii wont have time to cover Julians spot?? is that what youre saying?

*im just going to bury fossils lol apparently the 1 fossil that was in the plot ii wanted him in, is what stopped him from going there?

That's right. If you're at 10 villagers and you scan in a card, you can ask them to move in. They'll tell you that someone needs to move out first and start giving you options. If you don't want the person they suggest to move out, you can keep going through until they pick the one you do want to kick out. The very next day, Julian will be gone and the new villager's plot will be in your town. So there's no time to cover Julian's plot at all.

This is a reason for rage for sure! I always try to keep up to date to see who wants to move and if i want them to stay, il make them!:p

if this ain't me. i totally know how you feel. one time, julian moved right on my pretty rose garden.

oh ii see.. hmm.. so then my best option is to buy Julians card.. kick Julian out, have 9 villagers, plot reset correctly this time and do my rounds lol, thennnn scan in my Julian Card.. then ii wouldnt have to worry about anyone moving in any other spots! ty for all your help!!

haha exactly!! my hubby tells me im holding them hostage bc ii dont let them leave.. lol

I feel your rage for sure. I scanned Diana’s card and she moved in on top of my rare fruit trees. :X it wasn’t fun

oh thats awful!! ii have awhole orchard of fruit trees in one area, thats my 1st spot ii go to, to lay down qr codes!! ii pull up all the flowers and lay it down.. ii learned from the 1st time!! it was awful when someone moved there! ii assumed since it was trees they couldnt be messed with.. bht nope, they sure got them :(

do you need new fruit?

Did you seriously chuck the ds and it survived?

hahahaha, sure did! ii do have a case protecting it, so maybe thats why it survived? ive throw phones the same way and they didnt make it.. :/ *ii know, anger management over here* lol

bht it truly did.. maybe it was sorry for not making sure ii did a perimeter check of my town before ii hugely mistakenly changed dates when ii shouldnt have.. oh well hes fine now!! lol we made up

Oh I'm good! Thankfully, she didn't completely wipe out any type of fruit!

Yeah the whole town building in this game is a 'bit' rage inducing. That's why I stopped. But for you guys who go through that whole dreamy/town landscaping process are admirable. :)
