Xbox Live has been lagging really bad. This isn't something new, it's lagged since I made my profile. I really want to fix it, so I ask my ISP for some help, and they don't care. The sad part is they are the best ISP I can get right now. I can get into a game, within a few minutes, and then it's jumping everywhere. So, is there anything I can do to fix this?

I am using a WRTGS54GS with the latest firmware(I think.)

What I have tried doing is, turning off all pc's, playing at strange times(3 am, etc.), port forwarding(which I think screwed up), and using a laptop to play live.(which actually made it worse)

You have to pay for live, then they reward you by giving you crappy online. How nice.

This is really unusual, definitely not a normal occurrence.

Maybe it's just where you live. Sometimes it can be that you're in a bad.
It may also be wise to call microsoft, I know that'll be a hassle, but they may be able to get to the bottom of it.

@Zexion, so since when have you known everything about xbox?

Thank you. I have called and got to talk to an immigrant.

I mentioned wireless broadband, and she said I need something better.

So, I'm at a dead end. Hopefully I can find a time to play and get a rank up.

You say your ISP doesn't want to know, ask to speak to a manager/supervisor. Same goes to with calling Microsoft.
If you want to play online, without the lag, you've got to be determined to fix it.
Anyway, what games are you playing when it does this?

Try using a wired connection instead of wireless when possible. I feel that could help because something could be interfering with your wireless connection.

Probably router/modem problem.

Gee, first it's a WoW error an now XBL. Dang
WoW was actually Blizzard's fault, got it fixed a long time ago.

I made an Ethernet Friday and it works great now, just got to keep everyone off their damn computers.
