Little blue blob on Animal Crossing??

There's that little blue blob in the corner of my animal crossing game on my 3DS home screen. I thought this was when you have street-passed or spot-passed but it won't go away and it has been there for days!

I've been up to the home showcase and there's nobody new up there, what else could it be?

Sorry for the dumb question, it's just annoying me now lol

Maybe someone visited your town in a dream.
When you get a Street-pass the blob is green.
When you get someone visiting your dream town the blob is blue.

Oh, I never knew it showed up when someone visited your dream town. How do I make it go away if that's the case?

Mine's usually gone away on it's own by the end of the day, but you could try talking to Luna. I believe she has an option to check on your town's dream and she'll tell you who last visited or something.

Later today when I have my 3ds on-line, I'll go check out your dream towns. Then you should get a blue dot the next time you are on-line with your 3ds.

Oh so that's what that blue dot means? I always thought it was some sort of bug because Pete used to show up with a spotpass gift from Nintendo when I got the dot and then I one day started getting it and nothing would happen. It's been happening pretty often lately too! People must be visiting my dream, yay!

I think it's anything internet/streetpass related
e.g. visiting dream towns, getting items from Nintendo from pete or new DLC from post office

Yeah I get those sometimes and I can never figure out what it is! xD

I always get a blue dot when someone dreams of Cinnabar. Then I'll go into the game and ask Luna about my towns dream and she tells me who the last person who dream-visited. Once I'm out of the game again, the blue dot vanishes. I get green ones for streetpass. Sometimes you can get both colours at the same time, it blinks green then blue repeatedly ^^

Couldn't find your towns to visit. Maybe put your Dream Address into your My Profile/About Me section.
