My biggest regret of resetting my first town was losing Lionel, my baby.

I went onto my new town and guess who's moving in right near me? LIONEL

My heart was thumping, I was so happy until I realised: He moved in right on my cafe spot. Because it's pretty crowded around there I assumed that another villager wouldn't move in on the island but apparently so. I was irresponsible and it was silly of me. My stomach sank after I saw. But it's Lionel! Ah I love him so much. Has anyone had this happen to them, make me feel a little better?

I had Cookie park her house right on the path to my Mayor's house--I worked so hard to set it up just for a house to be plopped there.

Made it a bit better by saying she wanted to be close enough to be a guard dog for the Mayor's Estate, but I don't think I'll ever truly be 100% okay with it.

I had my ultimate dreamy Sydney move in to a fairly frustrating place.. I had to curve a path right 'round her as she cut one in half..

I managed to work around it, and put Tom right next to her, but at the time it was super annoying .. You've just gotta find a way to work 'round it

Yeah. I haven't put paths down so it's not the end of the world. But this spot was the perfect dip in the cliff for a cafe. It would've been adorable. I guess if I had to have any villager move there it would only be Lionel though, I love him too much to be angry. It's also cute that we're so close again.

Rowan planted his house in the middle of my paths, right by one of my bridges. He's so close to the bridge that if I demolish it and try to build another there, Isabelle probably won't let me.

I work around it though. For now. Whenever I finally unlock the last bridge PWP (ironically, the one I wanted all along), then if Isabelle doesn't let me build there, I'm either going to have to re-design my town a bit to accommodate a new spot for a bridge, or I'll have to try to get Rowan to leave. We'll see what happens.

Queenie had plopped her house down right in front of mine. I like Queenie, but I like space around my house more, so I encouraged her to move. Then I invited Marcel in to take her place. And he does that in the most literal way possible, by placing his house right where Queenie's was. Needless to say, Marcel had to go. I really liked him, too. And it was my own fault for not placing a PWP to save the space until I got the right PWP to put there. Had it been Lionel, though... I think I would have let him stay, because he's awesome.

I did try the reset method to get Marcel to put his house elsewhere, but each time, his house was in the same spot

Eloise plopped her house near the ramp to the beach and in the middle of a path. Pic in spoiler

Even a few spaces down or to the left would have been great. But seriously?!

Maple and Rosie completely destroyed my plans to re-model my bridges. Rosie moved RIGHT INFRONT of my bridge, and Maple moved diagonally up from her blocking my path :'(

As much as i LOVVVEEE my villagers, I just wish we can choose where they move >w<

Beau, who I had worked so hard to get, plopped his house right next to mine, killing my little garden area and the hybrids I had set there. :( He ruined my path too. I was so distraught because I had done the reset trick but he literally refused to plop his house anywhere but RIGHT NEXT TO MINE and akfjenska d .__.

And Beau is a dreamie of mine too so I can't kick him out. :X Anyway, I've since begrudgingly accepted it. He's lucky he's so damn cute, that little furry *******...

Goldie put her house 2 steps in front of the cafe, I was doing the rest plot trick because I invited her to my town but put PM instead of AM for the time so she's stuck there :c Luckily I love her, otherwise she'd bE OUT!

Pretty much all my villagers moved into terrible places.

merry moved TWO SPACES from my house. two spaces in front to be specific.
victoria i was hoping to move into shari's old spot, but ended up moving 3 spaces back and ruining my bushes. i'd made a whole area for shari because her house was in a great spot. i've worked around it, but it doesn't look very nice and i don't have bushes anywhere anymore.
papi moved into my one set of my perfect cherry trees.
molly moved into the worst spot ever because she was 1 spot from lining up with lopez and 1 space too close to the bench i have by papi's house and the river, so she's like right next to it…
lopez moved into monty's old spot, which i was happy with until molly moved so close and 2 spaces to the right, and 1 space behind. the area looks terrible…
o'hare moved right by my house and 2 spaces in front of the campsite… ;-; seriously considering replacing him because i cannot stand his house placement and i will never be happy with it.

Ha, um Chief kinda moved where I wanted Coco to move, but that's okay now..
And umm..
Hippeux moved in the only place where bamboo could grow.
:(

Rowan plopped his house directly behind Re-Tail, but I'm keeping him there. If a villager is my favorite, I'll get over it and adjust because I think they're worth it. :)

Lionel is so awesome. I accidentally TT'd too far and he moved out of my second town :( A very sad day.

Lol, I feel bad for all of you. My villagers all moved into great spots. xD

I had ankha move right in front of my house, i tried to be okay with it but everytime i had to leave or go to my house, it was so annoying and such an eyesore but i loved ankha... So i decided to let her go and cycle 16 villagers to get her back and reset her plot somewhere more suitable and less intrusive. Now i have all my 10 dreamies and their plots are PERFECTLY aligned and not on any pathways or orchards. I dont have to worry about any more villagers moving in and destroying something now.

My villagers are all in okay spots.
Stitches is right next to me and not even in a line, so I can't make paths look super good by my house. I love him too much and I'm too nervous to TT him out to someone else and then get him back later, so I'm dealing with it.
Bill moved right in the middle of the path to my town hall AIFOEURUE
Renee and Chow tag teamed and took out all but one of my pear trees next to the Cafe IOUWERIUEW
Sterling moved in an undeveloped spot of my town, but he helped me develop it into something nicer, so yay.
Purrl moved into the fields of violets I have next to my Retail, but I just adjusted the path and rebuilt the bridge to accommodate her. It's not the best, but I don't feel like TTing her out.
