Limit for items in a room

Today I discoverd there is a limit to how much junk --- one can squeeze into a room.

One of my room has a lot of stuff and there is still room to place more objects.

The game will not allow anymore pieces or place items on the walls. I only have 3 things hanging in the entire room.
