Trading LF: Digital Copy of ACNL

All people have to do to get anything they want is ask someone and then give them virtual money.
Why would someone spend 30$ on a game for someone else to get virtual items they can already revieve.
And the DK game is worth like 5$. That's not really a fair trade.
If they wanted that game, why wouldn't they go to gamestop and buy it instead of saying "hey. I'm gonna spend 30$ on a stranger and get a game from them for less!"

Wow, everybody on the attack, lovely~ ;-;

First thing, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is another 3DS game with the same value as Animal Crossing: New Leaf, so I'm not even 100% what you guys are on about. If somebody wanted to trade the digital copy of one game for the other that's their business, the values are equal.

Some people get codes for full games from promotions or whatever. Maybe they don't want the game, maybe they already have it, whatever. So they want to trade it for another full game.

I've seen people do this on here before, what exactly is the issue? I must be misunderstanding something.

This game? Because everywhere else it sells for the same as AC:NL, so maybe it's just where you live. ;-;

Yes. I know what it is.
But I'm saying that at my local gamestop, I can walk in there and get a used cartridge for 7.99.

Could be.
I live in a town of only 25k people. So it's pretty small. And it's our only gamestore. Other than of course going to walmart or whatever.
But ACNL sells used at my gamestop for like 29.95$ or something like that. So you'd think the prices would be similar.

Oh, that changes everything... it's used, It's normal that an used game will cost less than an original copy that it's not used ._.

I work at Gamestop and we sell it for $30 new and $20-ish used so where in the world is your local gamestop located?

In iowa. I also am about to start a job at gamestop. So I know a lot of the prices there. Like someone else said. It could be the town I live in.

Well I think the op doesn't expect a new copy of acnl surely, I think that changes a little bit too

You'd still think used it be close to a used acnl.
Either way, I just thought I was absurd that the OP was offering virtual acnl items for a 30$ game. That's why I opened my mouth. I'm not even sure if offering acnl items for things like this is allowed?

Well they expect a digital copy, an unused code. So there isn't really any "new" or "used" issue anyways.

My point is, to me a digital copy of all 3DS games (Nintendo ones anyways) sell for approximately the same amount (ignoring sales and whatever - just generally), so it's not completely insane for the OP to want to trade. Just wanted to put in my two cents so everybody would stop assuming they were just asking for a free game for nothing. ;-;

Very ,very frowned upon..done at your own risk

Can I ask why you say this? I'm just genuinely curious, if it's in the rules or anything. Because I see people trading codes for Club Nintendo and even codes for retro games and such, so I assumed it was allowed. I never really looked into it as I don't mess with codes and stuff anyways, I prefer physical games.

Pretty much in a nut shell. One of the mods talked about this and if anything goes wrong, they will NOT help you out on the matter since it's your fault that you got into that mess. I forget where it was, but there was a much longer explanation on the matter.
