There is one thing I can't stand about writing letters in Animal Crossing: the spacing. How is it when a villager writes to you, it's neat and the words aren't all spaced out, but when you do it, it is? To me, it makes the letter look all sloppy.

Here's an example for those who don't understand what I mean.

I know, it really sucks. Sadly there's really no fix to it except for spacing it to the next line, but that might still look just as ugly.

At the same time I don't write letters to my villagers so I don't care as much about it.

Yeah, even spacing it yourself makes it look weird. I just started my second town, Lilycove, and I'm following Isabelle's advice for writing letters. This is why I rarely do it. Nintendo needs to fix this.

But.. It looks fine if you just put a line break in. Or just a few spaces c:

I usually space words down to the next line so they're not broken, but after 3 games without it, I thought they would add automatic line spacing to NL :/

It's not really that big of a deal though, so I can sort of see how they overlooked it.

When I write letters, I usually write the letter below. I got it either from Gamefaqs or ACC and it was supposed to improve friendship in one of the previous titles, and I write it out of habit now.
"Dear So and so,
Hello friend!
How are you doing today?
I am doing fine.
I love you!"
And if I attach a present, I write at the bottom:
"PS: I hope you enjoy this present!"
All the sentences fit in one line except for the present one, but I think the letter looks fine in terms of everything fitting.

I just space it out or hit enter. It's really annoying though, and there's still not much you can fit.
Ah well, I probably shouldn't be complaining. The space was way worse in City Folk and Wild World.

agreed, the letter spacing really irks me as well. i just make a whole new line when a word of mine gets cut off. slightly irritating, but i feel better writing letters that way :]
