Let's play the RE-DRESS VILLAGERS game!

Hello there, everyone!

After recently going through a speed-run of HHD, it baffled me how many villagers are wearing default repeated clothes in NL/HHD, up to even 6! Meanwhile, many clothing are left unused! So, I want to know your opinion on the matter, and see how you would have dressed them. Better matching their appearance? Or their house theme? Or their whole background? Anything is valid, just tell me your ideas!

In order to make it easier and more viewable for you, I came up with this tablet that shows repeated clothing up from 3 (I left the 2's out) and also all the pieces not worn by anyone. The ones in red with the asterisks were added with the Welcome Amiibo update. Please, let me know if you spot any mistake!

My villagers have changed clothes so frequently, I've gotten to see them in tons of different outfits and I think a lot of them look better than their defaults.

I think Hugh looks great in anything orange like the orange tie-dye or Comedian's outfit. The color really pops against his bright blue skin.

Annalisa looks lovely in a painter's tee. The purple is very appealing and the pattern seems to suit her.

Both Mint and Anicotti look adorable in the strawberry tee.

Deirdre is currently wearing the kiwi tank in my town and I think it looks really nice on her. Hugh also wore the kiwi tank for a while and I thought it looked good on him too.

Jay is absolutely rocking the stylish suit in Nocturne at the moment. It makes him look so dapper.

Edited to add: I forgot about Rodeo in the fiendish shirt! I gave him that one time and it looked so perfect on him that I kind of forgot it wasn't default shift.

= Oh, I can actually see this one working! Blue and orange are opposite colours in the chromatic wheel, specially if you had a morsel of white for contrast.

= This one too. Since she is a somehow classic design (monochrome), a simple pattern fits her well.

= For this one I have my doubts. Both villagers are green and the edges of the tank/tee are too, so one would overlap the other in my opinion.
