Leif outside my door.

I opened my game and Leif was there. He wants me to pick all of my weeds, but I am trying to keep them for weeding day. If I don't play his game he just falls asleep and stays there. Do I have to play the game? Will he be there every day until weeding day?

I often find him dozing off in the bamboo forests hahaha, asking me to weed.
If you don't play he should be gone the next day.
You just can't go to his shop in the meantime.
