Least favourite Anime?

What's with all the SAO hate? I've never seen it, but what's wrong with it? I can't stand Hetalia though. eww

SAO was my first stuck-in-an-MMO anime, and i quit it out of disgust about ten episodes in. so badddddddddddddddddddddd, and it kept getting worse and worse

i personally liked it but a lot of hate i've seen about sao is about kirito (the mc) being op, the incest-y things, the uh loli things n then just general "ew i hate it because it's popular" stuff lmao

People exaggerate the flaws in it because of its popularity. I've had plenty of friends who wanted to get into anime that enjoyed it. Honestly, my biggest problem with the anime was the second half of season one. Season two was pretty good. Even though the second half of season two was a side thing I still enjoyed it.

There is more anime than people realize where they try to ship the cousin with the main character. Elfen Lied had that big time, but you don't see many people complaining about it.

Sword art online wasn't the greatest, but I can say it was average.

I'd say my least fav would be black butler, its not my cup of tea.

yea i was disappointed by Black Butler the anime - but the manga was amazing in my opinion

SAO, black butler, death parade, hetalia, and i don't really like attack on titan but it was my first anime so i can't hate it

I personally think anime that are made recently just wasn't "good" anymore. Maybe I'm getting old with all those Loli or those harem stories. I guess I will talk about what I like that are "new" psycho pass was great. Shokugeki no soma was good too, but I guess it's sort of going harem too.

I completely agree with SAO, I watched the first episode and just couldn't continue no more. Oh and I do not like fairy tail... My friend's in love with it but I just couldn't take hirano' voice.
I don't really understand why suzumiya haruhi no yuuutsu is popular either...

lol i agree with you all that have said black butler, but i don't think i mentioned it in my earlier post because i have watched so much anime that is pure crap and i forgot about it lmao

I think SAO had a great start, where no one gets to leave the game until someone cleared the game etc. But like two three, episodes in, the anime doesn't tell you what's going on anymore. The main guy with his old guild mates, like I didn't understand what it's trying to portray with it and it just didn't explain anything at all. It could have done better.

I recommend the seven deadly sins, they are not exactly similar, but I think it's so much better layout than SAO yet with some similarity.

I haven't watched Sword Art Online because it didn't catch my attention at all (not a fan of online game) and also because everybody I know is telling me that it's one of the worst anime ever, that the beginning was not too bad and then it's just getting worse.

lol i'm pretty sure the majority of people who dislike SAO don't dislike it just because it's popular. more just because it's not that good and has a ton of annoying cliches. the first time i watched SAO was when i was getting back into anime as an adult. i liked the aincrad arc, which was like the first 14 eps i think? but the rest of it was a headache to get through. tried to get into season 2, and i couldn't do it. sort of masochistic of me now that i think about it. anyway, if i were to watch SAO now that i've gone through a few more anime series, i'd probably hate it.

kirito is rly op and doesn't really stand out from the shounen mc trope? i really liked asuna, but they messed up with her character and didn't really write her to her full potential. not to mention the incest (which is a perfectly!!! good reason for not liking an anime) in the second half of the first season and how a large part of the series just feels like kirito's harem more so than the stuck in an MMO plot people were initially interested in. i will say though, its popularity probably did hype it up for a lot of people and unfortunately it just doesn't live up to the hype.

tl;dr it's a subpar anime that could've been executed better but just wasn't

Any of those Loli/Harem animes filled with nothing but pantyshots, "onii chans" and "kyaaas". The squealing of all those high pitches voices hurts me.

I tried watching the first episode of Diabolik Lovers because I thought the art looked amazing (the gradient hair colors were a beautiful touch) but I couldn't handle the amount of abuse the "love interests" were giving the protagonist. Sometimes it hits a little too close to home, and you can't continue watching or it'll just keep upsetting you further! Not only that but I heard the background stories deal with actual serious issues that I don't feel like otome game series should deal with if they're not going to treat that topic with the delicacy it deserves. They used something so real and disgusting all to further a sick plot, I couldn't deal.
