I don't find anything in the game as frustrating and tiresome as resetting for a good map for your town and plot resetting for villagers' houses. I've been resetting for my final town and like 3/4 of the maps the game wants to generate look awful and have tons of rocks and ponds. Like, who in the world wants a map with 6 ponds? It's especially bothersome when you have an otherwise good map, but there's a pond directly in front of the pavement outside of the train station.
As for things that one has to deal with when regularly playing, probably diving. It's a nice idea in theory, but I don't like button mashing because I don't want to damage the 3DS.
I agree on the medals thing. That is a totally not fun thing to do, even if you're playing with people. I got animal crossing so I could play by myself for hours. But playing with people in a game you wanted to enjoy by yourself is no fun.
If I were to choose something outside the normal ACNL play, I would choose cycling villagers, especially when you're trying to keep a majority of them. That is no bueno.
If I were to do regular gameplay wise, I would say cleaning up my storage. Cleaning my storage is the most annoying thing ever, especially when I accidentally leave the trash can in another room and my storage in another so I have to go through loading screens. Ugh it is so tedious. I hate acnl's loading screens. I wish there was a way I could overheat my 3DS so it would go faster.
Well, plot resetting, time travelling and things like that were never intended to be a part of the game, so I'm not counting those. My least favourite actual included thing is having to get villagers to suggest PWPs. They never do...
idk island tours dont really bother me too much. i kinda like the gardening one. theres no point to plot villagers because my town isnt versatile enough. too many rocks and ponds, and the river is in a bad place.
id restart my town because i hate the layout, but i have really great villagers that i dont want to have to repurchase. the things that honestly irritate me to no end are catching sea bass while trying to fill the encyclopedia, and getting bit by mosquitos.
Tours annoy me, like others have mentioned before. But the scavenger tour doesn't bother me too much, but waiting for it to appear? It's tiring! I'm trying to get the medalist badge but I REFUSE to play any other tour because it's simply not worth it for me.
Also, when you have your encyclopedia almost complete but you're missing those bugs/fish/whatever that only appear when Jupiter and Neptune align and a cricket chirps exactly 3 times in the span of a minute...Yeah, I've waiting for months because I also refuse to TT
I guess I just make it harder than it has to be
moving. Checking with every dang villager every d*** day to make sure no one's moving, or that the one you want to move is. Then the whole process to get them to move out...or in! Checking with a new character to make sure a new villager didn't plop down a plot in the middle of your blue roses, or right in front of that nice bridge...and then once you've reset five hundred times and you're happy with the plot or you got one to replace them, you gotta delete the new character and treat the grass where their house was!!! UGH, I'm furious just thinking about it.
Basically there needs to be a shortcut to moving and a better way to control where they go.
I hate island tours the most! I never do them unless there is something I absolutely *must* have. I also don't like watering flowers. The first few days of the game without the beautiful ordinance drives me nuts. I've seen some people here who actually enjoy watering their flowers and don't use the beautiful town ordinance. :O
