Least favorite holidays

For me, probably Valentine's Day, it's just like any other day. I find it sad that I get no school on Columbus Day but on Valentine's Day I have to go to school. I guess this country wants to celebrate a murder instead of love. The only holiday I actually like on the day of it is Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter, all the other ones are just not that great on their actual day.

I despise Valentine's Day. Why wait 364 days to get your S/O chocolates, a card and flowers? Just doesn't make sense to me, I guess.

Honestly, I hate April Fools' day. There are some druggies out in the neighbourhood, and when it?s April Fools', they throw eggs at people?s houses and they also went so overboard that they threw this soccer ball into somebody?s car window and it smashed. People were also purposely spilling liquid glue on people?s doorsteps and it gets dry overnight, so it is near impossible to clean, and it is of course, a huge hassle to the neighbourhood. They always get caught by the Police, but still, to know that they do these things all thanks to this day, it makes me annoyed. I also don?t understand the purpose of April Fools' day. It?s barely celebrated and more of a bad day, so I don?t see what makes this special.

This reminded me that when I was in first grade on April Fools' Day someone was putting glue from a glue stick on a girls chair then the teacher caught him and made him use that seat for the whole day.

Not a fan of valentine's, april fools, or columbus day. I don't like valentine's because it's overrated imo like why should you spend a ton of money (seriously everything is so expensive that day) for one day a year to honor your s.o.? April fool's I don't like just because now days it seems people's ideas of pranks is less funny/harmless and more cruel/mean. And columbus was just a terrible person and shouldn't be celebrated or given a holiday at all imo

I also don't like one aspect of St. Patty's day and that's being pinched if I forget to wear green lol (i have awful memory and never keep track of that day) otherwise it's fun

Probably Easter.
Like the only fun part is decorating eggs... I love candy but I eat candy always so that's not new or special. It's very "God"-centric which I mean, I'm not into. I enjoy Spring and everything but Easter just overdoes it. And the Easter Bunny is mildly terrifying, and even more so after watching that Holiday horror movie...

- It's in the Winter which gains my automatic dislike. Hate the snow, hate the cold, hate the seasonal Even Worse Depression that comes with
- I don't mind my mom's side or the family per se but there's a lot of people which drains the energy out of me as is, plus we're all brown which means a lot of loudness and I can't stand the noise
- My stepdad's family is another story they're all exhausting to be around and they're all wildly stupid. Plus my cousin's new boyfriend is the most arrogant yet idiotic man I've ever met in my whole life.
- Christmas music is ****ing awful

Not a fan of Christmas because of bad memories from pretty much most Christmases I've had. Others are just pointless consumerist holidays like Valentines day. I hate dumb pranks so I also dislike April Fools Day, if you can even call that a holiday. Ohhh yeah and in Cambodia we celebrate the buddhist holidays which is fine but oh my god shops close for soooo long, sometimes up to 2weeks. If it's over but ends on Thursday they even take Friday and the weekend off too. It gets super irritating, especially when you need to go to the bank. Same here with Chinese New Year, like how do businesses make money when they're closed for half the month?

Definitely Valentine's Day. It annoys me so much when people only show the bare minimum on that day.

Christmas. It's pretty much a kids' only holiday. When you're an adult, it feels like it's too much stress. Also, it doesn't help that it's in winter and I'm usually severely affected by SAD (seasonal affective disorder - basically depression caused by not enough sunlight plus other seasonal stressors).

I'm not a big fan of Thanksgiving. I think that's the only holiday that I can do without. I love Christmas, especially the atmosphere, the lights, and everything else.
