Last night and the night before, I hosted parties for a meteor shower and the fireworks show respectively. Each party was a ton of fun! We had a blast watching fireworks and wishing on stars, and everyone that showed up was super sweet and respectful...or so I thought. Apparently, in the midst of all the merrymaking, somebody decided to help themselves to my decorative star fragments that I had sitting out.
Whenever I host events I always have a totally open island. Its too much of a pain to bother fencing things off, and besides, It’s super fun to show off my hard work on the island lol. I knew that people could pick star frags up, but I decided to take the chance anyways just because they looked so nice. I had them sitting out for about a month and they remained untouched, so I thought that they were was ok. Apparently not.
The worst part is I have no idea who did it. It could’ve happened at either the fireworks party or the meteor shower. I’m not sure if fragments were gone by the time I hosted the meteor shower or not. I only let in people who had 100% WiFi ratings too, so that doesn’t narrow things down at all. I suppose that somebody could’ve mistaken them for party favors and thought that they were ok to take, but that’s a bit of a stretch. I only had them sitting out in one area, which is tucked away from the rest of the island, and they were clearly decorative. Most likely, somebody decided to help themselves and scrounged them while me and the rest of the guests were busy at another part of the island.
Idk, it just saddens me that someone took advantage of my trust like that. Like, I let you into my island, give you free DIYs and party favors and this is how you repay me? It leaves a bad taste in my mouth on what were two otherwise wonderful evenings. I guess that from now on, the full glory of my lunar picnic will be reserved for dream visitors. There’s always one bad apple that has to spoil things for everyone else.

I'm sorry that happened! Unfortunately, there always seem to people who are looking for a chance to take advantage of someone.
@Everyone offering to give me star frags, thank you, but I don’t need them. I only had 3 sitting out, and I have tons in storage. It’s not a huge loss financially, it’s just the principle of being stolen from that miffs me.
