I just started laying paths today. I'm really pleased with how its looking so far but I hadn't realised what a HUGE job it is! Each time I do one bit I notice another part to do. I think it doesnt help that I'm sorting out flowers and trees at teh same time.

It'll look good when it's done though!

Put all your flowers on your beach for now if they are in the way. You can sort those once your path is laid down. Some people like to landscape first, but I always like to lay down my paths first that way I can put them where I want and then decorate around them so I don't end up wasting bush starts or trees. Good luck! It's a long process and sometimes you finish everything and realize you don't like it so much. Happened to me numerous times, but I've finally found paths that I like and am happy with so just keep going!

Thanks for the tips! I think I'm lucky that I don't have too many flowers- but I'll move what I have got.

Oh, how right you are about that.

Hehe thanks. I think the path-laying club must be one with a lot of patience!! How long did it tke you all until you were happy with the paths?? At the moment I'm working on laying paths from larger buildings to each other and the train station. I will add paths to villager houses after that, Does that sound sensible?

I don't know how many hours of gameplay specifically but I started laying paths down sometime this past winter/spring, like January-February? It was toward the end of the snowy season, but I was just testing out a bunch of paths and stuff for a while, and I just got the paths how I wanted recently. I'm still debating changing parts of them out when I get another alt set up. Debating.

This is just my suggestion, but I find switching to the beautiful ordinance helps a lot. That way you don't need to worry about watering anything while constantly moving them.

i find moving flowers out of the way helps a lot. I have also heard some people chop all the trees down too, then replant them in the correct spot.

When I was laying paths in my old town, I'd chop down all the trees and move all the flowers to one place. This helped me to find special stumps (which I loved to find), this also makes it easier to lay paths quickly.
