Hello! I've just started landscaping my town, and I'm setting up paths between areas. I was wondering what the best way to lay out my paths is. Should I connect them to everything, or just the most important things? I currently have paths connecting Re Tail, the bridges, and the beach. I'm using dirt paths, by the way. I'm adding paths to my house and the town hall. Is it a good idea to connect paths to villager homes?
Thanks, Kira

what i am planning on doing is brick paths to the main areas of town like the plaza, train station, town hall, retail, and my house. i'm going to use separate (hopefully) 1 wide paths to go to the villager homes and to the beaches and campsite. so i'm not sure what advice to give you because it is all your choice but that is what i plan on doing if it helps (:

Personally I have paths connecting to my villagers homes, but I don't necessarily think you have to. I've seen plenty of towns that don't have paths leading to all the houses and it looks good. I think it just comes down to personal preference :) as for the main paths, I have all my paths connecting the main things in my town such as the train station, retail, plaza, town hall, cafe, etc. as well as public works projects I want to emphasize such as the lighthouse and my playground.

I like connecting them to the major pwps (like the cafe and police station) but other than that just to town hall, the villagers homes, bridges, and train station

Thanks so much for all your answers! I've got a lot to work with now! I think I'm going to do what lizzy suggested and have 1 wide paths to all the villager homes, and 2 wide paths to all the important stuff.

Thanks so much for all the answers!

I have been thinking about creating paths in my town. Mostly so I don't accidentally run through my flower patch though! So, I am enjoying the ideas people have suggested here too!
