For the...fifth, sixth time? I had all my PWPs removed, cut down all my trees and am redoing my paths. Anytime I think I'm semi-happy with my town, I look through some DA and realize what a mess everything is. I'm really hoping this will be my last time trying to make my town look good, but I'm a total perfectionist and I doubt that will ever happen.
Anyone else feel really dissatisfied with the look of their town or is it just me being insane? Which is normal for me.
I feel the same way. When I look at my town I'm like "wow this is the best!" and then I see other peoples town and I just look at town like it's crap. It's frustrating..
I actually really love how my town is coming together. I don't really care what the DAs look like, I just want my town to look how I want it to and I try not to compare. Although I will admit some DAs do make me a little jealous.
Happens all the time, i plan all the areas that i'm going to make, which PWP but when it comes down to it, i realise things don't look as nice, and i constantly change it up. I don't know how to make it nice anymore :/ Villagers houses don't help either
I see DA's that make me jealous all the time. Then again, I haven't done any real landscaping other than enough PWPs for perfect status. I look at them in terms of motivation and inspiration. "That looks nice! I want to work harder!" rather than "Compared to this, my town sucks."
When it all boils down to it, yes, I want a beautiful town I can be proud of and enjoy playing in every day. It's going to take time and work, and possibly many do overs. But in the end, this is my town, no one else's. As long as it makes me happy, that's the entire purpose. c:
I feel that way about my town right now...I only have a few trees but I have no idea what to do with all the empty space...I try to not compare myself to others' towns though, because there will always be someone that has a "better" town.
It helps if you start from complete scratch, though! My town was landscaped by myself a while ago and I now love the layout of my paths and such. Laying paths firsts helps a lot, you can then plan where you want flower beds, pwp and such.
