Lack of New Flora/Tree Types?

I remember seeing a bush or two near a house during the first direct, but none anywhere else.

They haven't shown any new trees or flowers, apart from what looks like a bunch of mushrooms grouped together as one big plant.

I was really hoping for some new tree types and plants.

Do you think they are holding back on showing them, or is there nothing to show?

They did show us some new flowers in the latest direct, so I think there's hope! Plus, I believe the giant mushroom is a good hint that they'll be introducing new plant types or just new flora in general.

They look a little like pansies redone, but if it's new, yes, there is hope.

What I really wanted were more tree types.

Kinda looks like forget-me-not flowers, not sure however if they comes in such colors. At first I thought
it would be a new look for pansies until someone pointed out in another thread that pansies looking the
same. Whatever kind of flowers those are, they looking really pretty.

I do think we are getting more new flower types, not sure however about trees. Would be nice to get
some new types of trees, especially new versions of cedar trees.

I hope we can still get tree stump patterns and perfect fruit so we can get those dead looking trees.

I’m also hoping for more plant verities, not just more flowers but also bushes and trees. I wouldn’t worry yet seeing as we haven’t seen much about the game in general. When to worry is, if there’s an AC direct Jan/Feb and there’s still a noticeable lack of new plants, though even then it may just be that they want people to discover new plants on their own

Currently we get fruit, birch and pine.
We need more.

We need berry bushes and big sunflowers!

I think they are holding back on showing us some new trees and bushes and I really do hope that bushes return in the game. Doesn't make any sense to just leave them out. The new flowers do look pretty though. I'm not entirely sure though they will have new trees, as it's always been the same trees in every Animal Crossing game so far.

They did show new flowers! I'm sure there's going to be some new types, I'm really hoping for more fruits and bushes/ fruit vines. I'm okay with them just adding or or two new types of flowers, but the giant mushroom thing looked pretty cool too.
