Label, rant, kind of.

Ugh Lief was fine the first time.

Now I have too many flowers and plenty of hedges. Why can't Lief get added to the Nook's store like previous games, so someone interesting can come?

At least Label has an activity.

I find that bushes are more rewarding than a few bits of clothing, and we change layouts so much that's he is a very welcome asset that will never outlive his usefulness.

But, why would a fashion designer give you furniture? I get graciegracie did furniture, but not Label.

And lots of people use and like Harvey in this game. Being able to set up photoshoots is a unique ability for this title.

Everybody is going to like some aspects of the game better in different ways. It's a personal game. The phrase "it's basically an old.." could work for lots of aspects of the game. Its an addition to an already established title. I don't see that phrase as a negative. If anything, it brings back aspects that people loved from older games.
I was going by what I've read on this forum.
People have speculated on Label being Gracies replacement, having studied under Gracie, may have picked up some furniture design ideas.

After all, Gracie never sold anything but shirts until New Leaf.

she beats kicks in my mind because kicks never has anything new and at least its a mini game. And shes really cute.. When kicks shows up I get annoyed. I have all your bags you only have like 5. Your stand set up is tacky.

I've only seen Kicks twice and all of his stuff was new.

I'm not going by cuteness.
I'm going by usefulness.

I don't dislike Label, I just wish she had a better role, with more to offer.

I'm grateful for the tailor tickets she gives out, but I don't really have any use for her clothes. I'm hoping Nintendo will eventually merge her with her sisters so that the spot she takes up can be filled by another of the other random visitors.

I actually really enjoy the dress-up minigame, and getting clothes for free is better than having to pay, but I can see why she's kinda useless. I want them to expand the Able Sisters and make her a permanent resident so she can sell her clothes or maybe seasonal/exclusive ones? With her being on our islands she might eventually contact Gracie and make her come over too, we can only dream.
I still think Wisp is less useful, but yeah, Label's role could be improved.

He's trying his best!! :( In CF he was pretty much homeless and since then he has managed to establish a successful shoe and bag business, if that's not inspirational...

As someone who loves fashion in-game, she's still the most useless NPC tbh. Her brand clothing isn't prettier than basic items and the coupons really aren't even necessary. The fashion check could be fun if the challenges would be more diverse than just choosing the right pair of pants and shoes for whatever she gives you.

Gracie was a lot of fun in New Leaf and her furniture was really cool. Label doesn't need to fill that role, but why isn't her appearance affecting Able Sisters in any way? It would be cool if she could renovate the exterior of the shops and the town hall, even if they all just had like 4 options to pick from.

Label needs to have her own section in the Able Sisters, we need Gracie to make appearances on the island before she unveils her uber amazing fashion store. That's what I'm hoping for anyway, Gracie is one of my all time favourite NPCs. Come back ;__;

I agree completely. There isn't even a challenge to Label since she gives you the clothing. I would have much preferred this idea... after doing the fashion check x amt. of times, the Able Sisters expands and adds Label's special clothing for sale, same with Kicks except after spending x amount of bells.

After talking to Sable several times, I discovered Label's backstory of why she decided to roam around visiting islands. (It's to pursue her dream!) I wanted to give her moral support for that. (I can totally relate because that's my scenario now with my family.) But her services aren't really beneficial to us, players.

Sable is precious. I wish she's a villager.

Label gives me a challenge, and when I do it it unlocks new clothes. I see no problem with her.

I didn't mean it was super challenging or anything, just that it was something to think about and something to do.
I guess that makes sense. However, I think they could have made her visit more engaging, like maybe you could have more than one fashion check.

I have a feeling that eventually she is going to open up shop on our Island - maybe once the overall Nook's Cranny upgrades.
I don't think that her and Leif which just forever remain as visiting merchants.

I don't entirely agree about Harv though.
I think for all those running AC journals or Instagram accounts, the place offers an awesome opportunity for photo taking. You get a unique opportunity for group photos as well and getting many villagers in one space, which you usually wouldn't. You can also model and try out various layouts and furniture without committing to them in your own house.

i always get a laugh out of the challenge, even if it’s too easy. the clothing options you unlock aren’t my taste and while the tailor tickets were helpful when i was early in the game, they aren’t now. i get that new players might find them useful.

i care about the able sisters because of their backstory. i wish that label’s presence triggered new dialogue for the sisters or they are least acknowledged her presence. i would throw my disdain for the chanel lookalike items out the window if sable was out there talking to her. (you could still say hi to work on befriending her or get a pattern)

since folks are talking about kicks, what i do like about him as that you get some variety. different styles for different kinds of players. it is a little disappointing if you don’t exploit reroll to refresh his inventory though—i’m still collecting all the paw boots he sells. also the animation where he wags his tail when you buy something.......... i die

I use Harv’s island all the time to put together a room before putting together a furniture order when I’m remodeling. Being able to customize furniture instantly and for free, as well as the ability to pull from my entire catalog and not just what’s in my inventory makes it invaluable to me. Especially since reordering furniture just to try it out can get expensive (and you’re limited to five items a day). So for folks who love interior design, Harv’s can be a significant asset.
