2 months after the first Nintendo Direct broadcast of the year and it's time for another one, as if the partnership with DeNA and planning an announcement for a new console aren't enough. The Japanese giant has confirmed one broadcast for South Korea this Thursday, so it might indicate that the rest of the world will receive their own Nintendo Direct broadcast very soon. We don't know what will be included in these broadcast, so it is safe to assume that it will be about products releasing before E3 2015 or perhaps slightly after.

Let's get the hype train ready!

The New Nintendo 3DS is still not out in South Korea, so the Korean Direct might just be about that. In which case, the Direct will probably (mostly) consist of the information we got in the January Directs.

It also seems like that Nintendo haven't released Wii U in South Korea, but this Nintendo Direct could also possibly indicate its eventual release date. This market is typically getting a Nintendo console two years after they released in America, Europe/UK and Japan.

Hey, so just a heads up, I've changed the title for now to reflect that it's just a Korean direct at the moment. While you're quite right that it might change later, we don't know yet for sure if that's the case and I don't want anyone getting excited if isn't. :p They don't always coincide. Please feel free to change the title back yourself if/when it changes!

Yeah I don't think that this is going to be anything new, here's what I found on reddit:
South Korea have their own separate Nintendo Directs, this will just be the information from January's direct, but with relevance to the Korean market, this happens with almost every Nintendo Direct, and South Korea didn't get the January Direct and haven't had one since, so this will be that one.
Hey, maybe it will be something. I guess we'll just have to find out.

So, The South Korean Nintendo Direct has been broadcasted and they're pretty much stuck with nothing but 3DS stuff. There are even a New 3DS XL releasing on May 1st with Metallic Blue and Metallic Red, while the smaller New 3DS will be released later. They're also getting most of the games that we already have, such as Super Smash Bros. for 3DS.

Why did Korea get a Direct but no one else did?

Lol lucky us in English we still get to see Iwata. Does he not speak Korean? He doesn't appear in their videos?

Because it was about Nintendo's push for the New 3DS. I would assume there's not much they could show us in a new Direct, so it stayed local to Korea.

Japan and Australia both got isolated Directs for their N3DS announcements. Japan got a Direct at the same time as the N3DS announcement for NA/Europe due to it also featuring news on stuff like the MM3D release date.

But i think that this is korea news only since it is only broadcasted in korea, maybe all the news there does not mean anything for us at all, i think that we should not be excited for anything and that it mostly will be old news for us.

When will the next North America nintendo direct be? I've looked all over but I can't find a solid date. The only one I watched this year was the one in January, and that was pretty fun to see. :)
