This looks like a similar design to the Santa in "Rise of the Guardians", which I haven't seen. Heard that movie bombed, but it still looked interesting. The most I recall hearing of that movie was tumblr people shipping Jack Frost with Elsa from Frozen.

I dislike how the trailer is edited, but I think it will be a promising film! They got a lot of big-named/skilled animators on it such as James Baxter. The director is Sergio Pablos. He has directed films such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Tarzan, and many more.

I’ve been looking forward to this since the teaser trailer years ago. I’m so excited it’s finally coming! We need more 2D animation in the world.

And omg you mentioning jelsa is taking me back. I remember when “the big four” was the latest greatest thing on tumblr. Not gonna lie though, I still kind of have a thing for hiccup/merida
