on the topic of kirby being short, all kirby games have been short, even with the hidden/secret things. they're still fun as *censored.3.0*, though.

they could always make up for this with a fun mode/extra characters to use, kinda similar to the meta knight mode of nightmare in dreamland (I think?) or the 4 extra balls in canvas curse (game was awesome)

and the co-op might have some nice stuff/additions to the game. tingle tower of four swords-esque, maybe?

still, regardless of what extras they add to the game, kirby isn't long, or difficult. it's just kirby.
doubt it could just be a wiiware game.. but we'll see, i guess.
