Kinda wish this wasn't treated as a big deal after the first one...

'cuz, like... I don't know about you guys but I got all the trophies and muuuultiple of all the Bug-Off items during the first one. I wouldn't even participate if I didn't get a little stamp thing in the Nook Miles achievement :/

yeah the villagers constantly talking about it is annoying. i'm bothering with it for the nook miles achievement and to help a friend get a couple things she's missing.

agreed. my villagers are constantly talking about how excited they are like,, we’ve already done this like,, 2 times now,, the event isn’t any different than it was last month 💀

but like you, i only play one round just to get the nook mile achievement and then i call it a day - lord knows i don’t need anymore of the prizes lmao

...Disagree. I think it's cute when they get excited about and participate in events! At the very least, I don't see why it would be bothersome. I can't imagine their Bug-Off ramblings are keeping you from any life-changing words of wisdom they'd otherwise be offering. If they were literally running up to you whenever they saw you and were like "DON'T FORGET THE BUG-OFF THIS WEEKEND" that'd be one thing. But they aren't. I mean, it's a small island with only a few events- why wouldn't they comment when one of the few events is coming up?

I don't bother doing it.
The prizes are pathetic, and yep, the villagers talking about it all week just makes me not want to play that day, or TT to the next... though they'll be doing the same thing but replacing the Bug Off with Fireworks.

They are building hype alright. :ROFLMAO:

If you think about it logically, our island itself doesn't have that much recreation. So I do understand why the villagers too hyped about events.

I mean, I don't mind them being totally excited for it, I just wish I could jump on their hype train too, but Bug-Off became so boring for me due to the fact that it's always the same prizes you get. Sure, there is still the Nook Miles achievement I could complete, but not even this gets my motivation up to participate in said event again right now. I's nice to see that my villagers still having fun with it after all.
