kind of a rant

ok so the other day this girl wanted to come and sell her perfect peaches and i usually don't let anybody come unless it's a quick trade or to pick up a villager but i need more visitors so i just let her come
she was very polite but a few things she did kinda irked me, like she went through my shops without my permission and took my own basket of perfect peaches and paper to write letters with, and ik those items aren't a big deal but you just don't take stuff without permission yo
then she wanted me to keep my gates open for the next 2 damn hours so she could tt and get more peaches
like just tell me when to open instead of wasting my time
i didn't report her to an admin or anything in the group she was in but it just kinda bothered me

Man, I hate when people don't ask before doing stuff, next time put up some rules and/or flip WiFi, if somebody breaks the rules, give them a bad rating.

The nice thing is that at least you don't actually have to let her visit again now that you know... But seriously don't understand why people are so rude. I even ask permission from my one real life friend who plays to do those things when I'm visiting her town!
It is the unfortunate downside to trusting strangers that you aren't gonna get lucky with polite visitors every time. Remove her fc from your system so you don't have to risk her coming back sometime else that your gate is open and hopefully future visits go better!

I would have gotten annoyed..two hours is a bit long to keep your gate open for someone. Like others have said, remove her FC so she can't make another appearance (trust me i had an unexpected visitor one day and it was not pretty).

If she was a new player she might have not known that it's considered impolite to do those things. You should tell her most people ask for permission to check shops or take fruit regardless. Also, if you didn't want to hold your gates open for her why didn't you just say no? :/

This. This is exactly what I would have done.

Communicating through ACNL itself is hard - short messages, takes forever to type (at least for me anyway) - so if she does bug you again, maybe mention you'd rather talk it out on whatever website hosts the group she's from? And let her know why you're reluctant to do "business" with her if you want, but again, try to keep it friendly. A lot of people just get defensive and reject whatever info they're hearing if they feel like they're being attacked, so giving her a friendly tip about her behavior might not save YOU now since you've already suffered her inconsiderate...ness, but anyone she deals with in the future will hopefully be spared if she takes your advice, and that's definitely worth something.

i'm 15 and if someone doesn't know what's right and wrong by this age, i don't really want anything to do with them

When I was a newer player (first week) I did so many horrible things without knowing it was impolite. ^^;

I picked some flowers (non hybrids) digged fossils, destroyed a tree with a 'different looking fruit' -that scared me to death- i didnt understand what was happening haha
Took all the oranges in someone's town without knowing they don't grow back after a while ;n;


But as I progressed through the game I realized how big of a deal it was.
I'm an older player too (i think) but I think these things happen when you are new, and have never played the previous animal crossing games. I never thought of doing something mean on purpose, I genuinely thought it was an okay thing to do at first!
