Pokémon Killing a shiny

So, today, after about five minutes of searching, I came across a shiny Magnemite and accidentally made it faint because I clicked on the wrong move. It was a pretty terrible feeling, especially after my incredible luck by finding it so quickly.

Have you guys ever killed a shiny? How did you react?

Man, that's rough. Especially because Ponyta and Rapidash are such cool shinies.

I'm sorry that this happened to you. I've never accidentally killed a shiny as far as I can recall. I think I've captured every shiny I encountered in the wild, and all of the others I get from hatching eggs.

The closest thing to this disappointment that I've felt was when I was breeding Porygon with a Japanese Ditto in Pokemon Black (or White, I don't remember). I needed a Tepig for some reason (I think a friend needed it?) so I took the Porygon out of the Day Care and put the Tepig in. I got a Tepig egg, put the Porygon back in the Day Care, and rode off to hatch the egg. The Tepig that hatched was shiny and Modest, which is a horrible nature for an Emboar.

While now I'm happy to have a shiny Emboar, and I'm sure it probably doesn't necessarily mean my next Porygon would have been shiny, I can't help but feel that if I just waited to breed that Tepig then I would have hatched a Porygon on the next egg.

It ended fine though, because I continued the hunt a few months later and finally acquired the shiny Porygon I wanted.

It didn't happen to me, but a friend of mine encountered a shiny Kangaskhan in the Safari Zone once. It ran away, of course...

Ugh I never thought it would happen to me but I actually did do it once by accident in Black ver (I was grinding for sp. def EV's and wasn't paying attention and KO'd a shiny Frillish, I only found out because I was looking at my Pok?dex later) and again in Y. I was on an incredible random shiny streak but I ended it when I found a shiny Nidoran♂ in a hoard, I was extremely tired because I honestly shoulda been sleeping & not playing Pok?mon but anyway I clicked the wrong box by mistake and it attacked the shiny.

Oh man, that stinks but that's cool at the same time. I got a shiny Cyndaquil a few months back from soft resetting in Heart Gold, and it had a sassy nature which isn't the greatest nature for Typhlosion.

I found a Shiny Dedenne on a random first encounter on Pokemon X like two years back.

Killed it because it's a hella dumb Pokemon and I felt no regrets 8)
(Also because the Shiny colors make it look like a piece of dung with sweetcorn in it)

Aw man, I'm not a big fan of Dedenne but I always thought his shiny form wasn't too bad.

Yes, the person didn't want to catch it, and didn't he still kill it cause confusion? #Thuglife.

I accidently killed a Bidoof, the first shiny I found. I didn't know it was a shiny so I killed it, looked a little like his regular color, so I didn't know.

Just found a shiny Plusle and I caught it this time. Well, I guess that paid off.

it was in pokemon x and i was in the desert
so i was getting sick and tired of wilds jumping at me so i kept clicking run, a lot of trapinchs
but as soon as i glance at my screen i seen something blue so i was like it's nothing blue here
i got check my pokedex and seen i ran away from a shiny trapinch, i was so mad
didn't even want to finish playing the game

The only shiny I've ever found in game is a Scatterbug.__. And I didn't even notice it was shiny but I caught it cause I was trading pokemon over to my Y game xD I almost traded it away but noticed last minute cx
