Kicks is a returning character from Animal Crossing City Folk and runs a shoe store. But why is he so boring?
He just has no personality!
Lottie, who only appears 3 times in the New Leaf update, has more personality than him!

to be fair lottie has her spotlight in hhd so it's obvious she has a much polished personality since her role is more prominent than kick's one
anyway I like kick he seems just quiet rather than boring plus I like is little store ^^

Labelle (or Label) has hardly any personality in New Leaf as well, in my opinion.

Aww, I love Kicks! I just think he's so cute...Plus, I picture him with a cockney accent (pretty much cemented in my mind due to his vernacular in-game), and I just wanna hug him, lol.

But I agree; I wish they programmed him with more of a personality.

And what surprises me is that they even make a Kicks amiibo figure! Really, they should have made a Brewster amiibo. But maybe Kicks gains some personality in his RV and his house in HHD.

Majority of the special NPCs lack personality unfortunately, but I love Kicks regardless

lol Kicks is one of my favorite characters because of how calm/quiet he is
maybe it's because he doesn't have a backstory other than "character who sells shoes" that he seems a little more boring to some tho?

Kicks doesn't react to most emotions which does make him feels boring even though he talks with a smug personality.
He sounds rather angry when the player give up buying a item.

It would had been better if he was more expressive.

Only react to negative emotions, but even so it feels disappointing.

Aww, but I really love Kicks When you think about it, his story is really touching- he went from being a(presumably)homeless boy who shined shoes for a living in City Folk, to a successful guy with his own store in New Leaf, and a nice home to call his own in HHD :,) And I love the catchy way he talks and the way he whistles the town tune, plus he's just so darned cute! ^u^

kicks is cute but i rarely go into the shop since I never change my shoes :'D I wish ACNL had better dialogues to be honest.. I feel like that's the only thing I don't like about it.

Kicks is cool... he's too quiet and doesn't react to emotions, but he's rather chatty when you see him in the Cafe.

He has as much personality as the other NPCs since there isn't much you can do to interact with him. The big difference (to me) is that other NPCs have a bit more to say. I love Kicks, though.
