Hey yall.
I currently have an empty plot and a ton of nook miles that I want to use to find a dreamie. But it's already about 8 pm in game, and I may fall asleep before I find anyone I like.
I've heard some people leaving their plot open but making it earlier in the day in game, but the last time I tried to do that, the plot auto filled. If you have any info on how to keep my plot open. I'd appreciate it!

You should be fine as long as you time travel within the same day. I've also heard that you'll be fine as long as you don't leave the airport, even if 5 am rolls over. Just keep the game on in sleep mode.

With the new patch, this could be outdated info.

just set the system/console time back to like 6am of the same day, yeah. as many times as you want - i do it all the time to finish working on a project so i can put down bridge/incline before the day rolls over. you can avoid the day moving on indefinitely like this.

If I want to go to bed before I find someone, the next day before I load up the game, I change the date on the switch to be the day before, I've done it for 3 days before until I found a villager I was happy with.
You just have to make sure the date/time isn't matched to the internet (it shows the option on the screen)

Oh okay. I wonder if I messed it up before by doing the same day but before 5 am when it switches over. I must have dont something like that.

yeah, its a tricksie thing, bc animal crossing days dont end at midnight, they end at 5am of the next day. you have to be careful !

best of luck this time tho. just do it slow and steady and you'll get it 💪🏻
