Ok, I have been thinking about this from seeing posts about getting bored with the game. And my own experience with finally getting to a point of getting close to having who I want then wanting them in which town together...but then remember oh I lost or moved them once...then it hits can't ever put them there 16 villager memory...That being said I started thinking what is the point of that in the game, why so many villagers, why do we get bored when we get our perfect town dreams and completed and start a second? or third, or a cycle?

That all led to me wondering yes, some people want the same villagers forever and that's fine, but it seems like the intention of the game, even by including that void cycle makes the aim, I guess, to befriend every villager to the picture level and then let them go so you never get tired and can have had max with all 333 with only one town.

So I guess thinking back now to when I first started before dreams and moving people around and all that, as now it will take work to get them where I want and it shouldn't feel like that...I miss that feeling before I knew all that stuff and really worked camp cycling ect to get someone in the start but now that town is changed and frozen with dreams. This made me wonder if once I get my final few wishes in and let go some maxed out how to get the excitement back. Some people keep their dream towns start a cycle, I plan to do that which is also a bit of work but I love TBT, but what about a challenge for the game?

I was gifted a second ds at Xmas still unused a last cart town for final dreams and one to cycle and with a cycle to keep original I guess you don't talk to them..I will make sure I do that right when ready and learn all the tips but considering the few I need and to let go I think there is room here for a quest. That being once I get my final dreams fit them where I can already make some cuts there aren't that many left on dream list considering and start a fresh town whose goal is to after picking map and all that start up stuff is to not manipulate it, I mean befriend everyone max and play through having had all villagers the never ending town never gets boring just do it the way the game wants keep them until I've maxed them all and had the full new leaf experience. Even if not this I find the more you add on a second, a cycle the more removed you get or bored with finished town, so..That was just my story now I want to here your ideas, if you care to share if not just don't respond on it.

The reason I post this, wondering is anyone playing this way, or bored and tired and thinking of starting a fresh town...keeping the original ones of course. People wanting more in game community interaction? I am trying to think of something to renew it, or even if not this quest maybe a group of people from TBT that want to do some kind of interactive goal or work together keep it fresh and each other updated thing? As TBT seems to be very interactive as much as we play, we spend as much time on here, so anyone have any thoughts or group ideas that might be fun, some of us still have some dreams we want but after that how to keep it fun interactive and not just on site, or any personal goals your working on? I am really interested to know, anyone working a challenge or had these ideas? Share your own stories or quests failed or working on, your NL history and what your goals are or ideas to incorporate community. (Note this is just for your stories and ideas anything that turns into playing with other will go elsewhere)

Well.. The main challenge I have for my town is to create a little frontyard/backyard/something special for every villager's house. There is no plot resetting so their homes are all over the place. Beardo and Pierce ended up being close neighbors, so I can plant bushes and arrange flowers in a way to show that. Biskit has a windmill behind his house, Ankha has a tombstone (she is an ancient egyptian cat, so I thought it was appropriate) and a hotspring. What keeps the game exciting for me is that I can always brainstorm ideas for everyone, put things in to show their personality somehow or make it look like they decorated it themselves.. and if they move away, I can do the same for the new person who moves in.

I understand people who get bored with their town once they complete it. I don't think starting over is that big of a deal. It sucks to throw away all of your hard work but getting a new map and villagers makes it like a fresh new start.

For me, I'm really slow at building my town so I'm not even close to being done! XD

Wow that's quite a lot of text xD. I've been getting a little bit bored with acnl lately. I wanna start a second town that's nicer and has a theme as well some new faces sometime. Right now I'm almost done with my current town, just need one more villager and to figure out what to d with some of the rooms in my house, and a little more landscaping. For me It's only been boring lately because I'm not sure about what I want and haven't been getting much done other than daily favors. I don't think I'd wanna have a cycle town because the thought of cycling for villagers and not talking to them and doing them favors sound really boring.

I understand completely. What's to do? Once you're town is landscaped to a T, house decorated, dreamies achieved, encyclopedias completed, and museum rooms furnished, what then?

In reality, neighbors do come and go. You have people who'll live in town their entire lives, and some who live there for less than a year. You meet new people, but never forget your friends, even if they've moved on. Landscapes change. Buildings go up, come down. Parks expand, are re-purposed.

But at the same time, isn't it comforting to have all your best friends there when you need them? To see the familiar faces, and know they've got your back. To walk down paths that have been there so long, you could follow them in your sleep. Owning a home you could relax in. A town you know the ins and outs of, where all your neighbors wave and the shopkeepers know you by name.

This is the conundrum that is Animal Crossing. A game that, though unassuming and seemingly simple, defines your innermost psychological workings. Are you someone who takes comfort in the familiar, in routine? Or do you seek out new experiences, open to change?

I remember something on ACC back in the days of WW, it was like "weekly challenges" or whatever, just a bunch of odd tasks for you to do that week.

Would anyone participate if I did something like this?

I bought a second game because of the Target sale. Haven't even opened the shrink wrap. My first town isn't "done" so there's plenty to do. But, I do get very attached to villagers so I pretty never let them move. I've been thinking about what to do different with a second town and maybe becoming besties with everyone would be a fun goal.
