Keeping A Tan

I personally HATE being pale... in Animal Crossing and in real life.
Real life? Reality? Whatever. You know what I mean.

So I was wondering...
Once I reached the desired shade I want my character to be, how do I keep it that way?
I don't want to get any lighter or any darker.
But I also want to use hats and umbrellas.
Would I have to tan once a day?

Please help!

Yes, just continue the tan by being outside in the sun 15+ minutes a day. If you want to keep it after the season is over, head out to the island during the day and do the same.

If you put on a hat for probably 15+ minutes, I'm pretty sure you start the process of turning lighter, so just keep playing without any hat or umbrella and you should be fine.

I dislike tans (with a few exceptions) in real life and on games. Trying to get pale in real life

I want to tan, but never had. I am NOT pale in real life, but not tan, and I hate my character pale white.
