Katie's not in my town?

Yesterday, a friend dropped off katie in my town.. i checked everywhere and she's not there??

It can take a few days for her to show up.. Took 3 days for me once.

Katie just disappears when someone drops her off. It's just a way for the game to encourage people to interact. She shows up in your town randomly once you start visiting other towns. She kind of gets annoying at times, to be honest.
