When I clicked 'Anything new?' when talking to Lyle whilst in Nook's Homes, he told me about how K.K. Slider came into the shop, and how Nook fangirled over him. On top of this, Lyle said that him and K.K. talked a lot because they 'had some catching up to do'. This is a whole new plot, what XD has anyone else come across this, or anything linked to the whole connection between K.K. and Lyle/Nook?
I haven't come across that particular conversation, but I've seen a few between Nook and Lyle that don't involve K.K. Slider.
A particular favorite was when Lyle was mentioning that he and Nook had gone for dinner together, Nook insisting that it was strictly business, and Lyle commenting that "I do believe you're blushing".
It struck me as cute that Nook would be reluctant and embarrassed to let the player know that he had a life outside of real-estate and that he wasn't entirely business oriented. It could be construed as slash, I suppose, but I just got the sense that Nook is kind of shy about his personal life, and that Lyle likes ribbing him about it.
It's great to see the personalities of Tom Nook and Lyle evolve through dialogue, and it's a shame that there isn't much documented information online about these (seemingly randomly occurring) conversations.
