Today, I visited a cousin's island and randomly talked to K.K. even though it wasn't night yet. He casually mentions that there is another villager on the island who has a birthday month and was planning something to surprise them with and asked if I wanted to help. When I agreed, K.K. gave me a letter to write on (had a K.K. style to it) and that he would send it to that villager on their Birthday. I assumed this would go along with his other gifts like the song and such. I never seen this mentioned before. Did anyone else know about this or had this happen?

Yes my sister did this for my birthday in May! I'll tell you how it works in a spoiler below-
KK Slider appears in the plaza on your birthday and will show you letters from your villagers and human friends when he sings you the AC birthday song, meaning, the letters will show up on the screen instead of the usual credits. Letters by human players will also be mailed to the player celebrating their birthday (incase they miss KK Slider's performance).
