Personally I don't think the river layout is that bad, because it doesn't leave any of that dreaded unusable space near the train tracks where the land gets really narrow.. Like my town unfortunately has... But of course if you feel that strongly about it restarting isn't such a bad idea
for what it's worth, I like the wide array of paths and patterns you used, especially the one going back to your campsite cause I have that same pattern in my town haha I also like the look of more random flower placement that you have I your town, it gives it a bit more of a natural feel. I think the one thing your town could use is more bushes and trees, but I suppose that doesn't mean much if you plan on resetting hehe. But I definitely think your map is workable, so idk about that other user who said it wasn't. But of course at the end of the day it's up to you!
