LMAO! I always refuse to do this errand just because it's plain lazy and Pete is a terrible mailman (there's also another reason but I ain't getting into that) and I don't really care about rewards at this point.

happens to me all the time, when they ask me for native fruit..AND A FRUIT TREE IS RIGHT NEXT TO THEM! or the villager they want the item delivered to has just walked past them, pointless maybe but not unrewarding, I do the tasks simply for the chance to add more items to my catalog

Most of my villagers requests are pointless, but every once in awhile my villagers ask me to give a villager something. Usually the villager in question is near, so I agree. But that villager is no where to be seen. Like one time, Carmen asked me to give something to Purrl. I searched the entire town, looking in every store. When I saw Carmen again, guess who I saw. Purrl. Somehow she just kinda disappeared. That wasn't the first, and probably not the last time this happens.
