Hello there fellow TBTers and Mayors!
Ya see, the problem with me is that I don't stick with a town name for too long. (24 hours, tops. Pathetic, I know.)
So I'm seeking help-
I need a town name!
Now, here's the thing: everytime I try to work with a theme, it does NOT work out good because then I think to myself: "Eeeh, I wish I would've gone with a magical town name instead of a horror one."
But anyways, on to the contest/town name thingy!
You can all suggest maximum ten names, and I'll try the ones I like the most. The one that really appeals to me and that I don't get sick of -no offense- in less than 24 hours is, well, the winner! You can also suggest mayor names (I'd really like that!)
The prize is... 100 btb and my sincerest congratulations.
That enough? Awesome!
Now, here are some 'pointers':
?Be creative! because I certainly ain't]
?'Weird', magical, and strange words appeal to me! Especially ones in other languages and words that have deep meanings. (I'm quite the philosopher, man.)
?Remember to not make it theme-specific! (i.e. names that only work with a horror town, etc.) BUT, you CAN suggest how I can decorate my town/how I can make my town so it suits the name! (Does that make sense?)
Anyways, GOOD LUCK!
This ends when I find a good town name :) BRACE YOURSELVES

FAVORITE MAYOR NAMES:
Ezalyr
Xaifae

Idlewild? It can be magical and creepy. Or maybe Lilymoon?

Hmmm... those are quite nice!
I actually googled up some words, and I found quite a few that strike my fancy!
Here they are! (With the meanings.)

Duende- Unusual power to attract or charm.
Druxy- Something that looks good on the outside but is actually rotten inside. (Think of the possibilities!)
Scelestic- Wicked; villanious
Selcouth- Wondrous and strange
Redamancy - The act of loving in return. (Has a much deeper meaning- google it up!
Lunule- The crescent-shaped area at the end of the human fingernail.
Aureate- Word used to describe language.
Quiescent- A quiet, soft-spoken soul.
Aubade- A song greeting the dawn.
Aeviternity - The mid point between time and eternity. (Any shortening suggestions? I really like this one.)
Ambedo - a kind of melacholic trance in which you become completely absorbed in vivid sensory details?raindrops skittering down a window, tall trees leaning in the wind, clouds of cream swirling in your coffee?which leads to a dawning awareness of the haunting fragility of life.
Dwale- The worship of stars.

May add more! Whaddya think?

Hmm... Perhaps you can add suffixes and prefixes to them. Hide a meaning in a hidden word. So maybe Duendele or Druxynn, Elduende.

Brontide - means 'the low rumble of distant thunder' (if you love thunder in the game then this is pretty cool)

One that may resonate with how you feel about town names - Palinoia - which means the obsessive repetition of an act until it is perfect or mastered

Here's one that pretty much sums up the interaction in AC - Volta - which means 'a leisurely stroll along the main street or sea shore as the sun is setting, to meet and talk with friends and neighbors.

Ahhh, they sure sound nice!

sun in french is soleil. there is a villager called soleil but??? you could go for a very bright theme set in summertime.
citrouille means pumpkin in french too, you could have a town with a fall theme and have scarecrows, pumpkin patch qr codes etc.
peoria which could be another flower town, maybe set in spring.
also;
-florence
-crescenta
-astoria
-valencia

Ell, El, Lo, Ri, Ro, and Del are good prefixes to start with, not all fit with the words you found, but they will work with others.

Thanks! Duendlynn has been stuck in my head for a while now :O
(Duen-de-lin.)
Any ideas on how to spell it other than Duendlynn?

Oh, thank you! I actually took Idlewild from Anne of Green Gables because I thought it sounded so magical. I'm quite proud of myself for coming up with Xaifae; I love names with "X"s!

Verlaine, Soupir (sigh in french), Lorelei (mermaid legend in germany), Serafina, Dalhia, Ophelia (these can be for mayors too i guess xD).
