Just a Friendly PSA Regarding villagers 3-5.

You can get them for a friend though. Audie was adopted by me and her interior changed upon moving into my town.

Yeah that's a good idea! The interior does update if someone adopts them. I have just been planning on giving away my first 5 villagers. Victoria was adopted by someone who really wanted her yesterday, so that's nice

Do tell me how you're amassing so many nook tickets in a couple days early on without TT'ing to get your dream villagers as the first move ins? I would like to know.

This isn't a challenge. I'm just really curious so I can do this on my second file.

Yeah I can second what they’re saying. I’ve not time travelled at all, but was able to move in three villagers I really liked within the first week of playing (used about ca. 15 tickets to invite Lolly, Zucker and Flora)

The trick is not to rush, and only place plots when you have someone lined up to move in. If you do this one at a time, an added benefit is that you can choose whose house goes where (Ex: I specifically wanted Zucker on the beach, but Lolly near the plaza)

Earning the tickets should be easy enough, since you have access to all those early miles for completing the first and second level of many tasks.

Honestly, the only thing in your way is impatience. It comes down to what’s worse though; waiting a few days to have more villagers, or having to deal with waiting for unwanted villagers to move out.

Also villagers 1-5 have basic house interiors the whole time they're on your island, so even more the case about not really caring who 1-5 is. Probably best to not try and get a dreamie for 1-5

Woah - this makes me a bit bummed. However I’m still going to keep them...

I wish I had known about this sooner, but I got the game as soon as it came out and nothing was known yet and played it a ton. I did get a villager from an island during that time (which ended up surprising me), but I didn't realize I could get all three.

Thanks for sharing this info with new players, though! This is sure to help out a lot of people with their searching and not expanding the housing quest until they have 3 villagers they want.

yeah the other day I found out about this mechanic. So mad about it, (I got Flora, a dreamie, as one of my 3 random move-ins) & now I just want to kick my Flora out and re-farm her so I can have her with the house interior she's SUPPOSED to have.
Rrrghrghrghrghg why is this a mechanic
Agreed! I got Rudy as my first villager and I don't want to give him up but I want his true house! Same with Sherb.,

I chose my first 3 villagers. I don't TT, and it took the better part of a week to get tickets. But I waited until I had them confirmed before putting the plots down and completing the DIY tasks.
