I've noticed while playing on my Switch that the blue joycon gets flat quicker than the red one. Does this happen to anyone else? Is it normal?

If you mean one depletes way faster than the other, yes, it's normal. It happens on the right joy-con as well, assuming your blue joy-con is on the left
