Joan After 12 PM?

Everything I've read about the Stalk Market & Joan has said she's only in our town on Sunday & only until 12 PM. I have sneaked out of family gatherings to catch her before that 12 PM cut off time. I found her this morning, bought my turnips and then went on with my flower watering and fossil hunting. 12 PM hits, town tune plays - lovely, and I'm walking through my town and I see Joan... at 12:08 PM.
My 2DS time is correct & my in game time is correct. I do not time travel.

Has everything I've read been wrong about when Joan leaves?
If so could someone please tell me what time she actually leaves? Thanks!

I’ve seen her after noon as well, but I think if you are outside when the hour changes, she doesn’t vanish at twelve. She only disappears if you reload somehow (save and continue, go inside/to the island/rv camp/Main Street). I had something similar happen with Jambette. I was supposed to go to her house at 8 am. She was outside when the hour struck and stayed outside until I went in the police station and back out.

Thank you both for replying! I never knew that Joan couldn't leave at 12 PM if you were outside! Hmm... I wonder if you could still buy turnips from her.

I'm pretty sure I have but can't swear to it.

I may purposely be outside next Sunday at 12 PM to keep Joan from leaving & see if I can buy turnips still. It would be good to know on those days I get a later start.
