I'm not twisting it. You accused me of being a bad moderator for not controlling people like you. You then said TBT's members would drop if continues. And you said I didn't know how to run a forum because people aren't banned enough. Meaning you believe more bans equals more members. Which doesn't make any sense since no one likes being banned.Jas0n said:Way to twist what I said, as usual ;D
How about I make the poll?
No, I said that the people that take warns and 2 day suspensions as jokes obviously are just going to continue what they were doing, so they should be banned or atleast suspended for longer. But that was only one part of the argument :]stormcommander said:I'm not twisting it. You accused me of being a bad moderator for not controlling people like you. True, but when you do something wrong you know you will have to face the consequences.stormcommander said:I'm not twisting it. Average ban is about 3 days, so you think we should make that a week? Turn the week bans into a month? And turn the month bans into a year?Jas0n said:No, I said that the people that take warns and 2 day suspensions as jokes obviously are just going to continue what they were doing, so they should be banned or atleast suspended for longer. This is what I was trying to say, but Jeremy likes to twist things.Bacon Boy said:The one thing that bothers me are that there are some people who haven't been banned yet, and I don't even know if they've been warned. It bothers me somewhat that the people that continue to bother others, flame, make themselves self-proclaimed rulers, need to be dealt with by warn or ban/suspension.
This is what Tyeforce told me in PM. But you guys are forgetting that you can't see who gets warned or banned.Bacon Boy said:The one thing that bothers me are that there are some people who haven't been banned yet, and I don't even know if they've been warned. Hm... maybe more along the lines of this:stormcommander said:Average ban is about 3 days, so you think we should make that a week? Turn the week bans into a month? And turn the month bans into a year?
See what I mean? xDstormcommander said:This is what Tyeforce told me in PM. ANOTHER IDEA!
If they don't read the rules, they can't post. So if they do something out of line, then say they didn't know that it was against the rules, warn them for not reading the rules.
[19:39] Jas0n: A week thenstormcommander said:[2:35pm] Jeremy: so Jas0n, how long do you think you should be banned for?
[2:36pm] Jas0n: As I've said before, 2 day suspension and if I take it as a joke and continue, then a week, and joke/continue a month ;D
[2:37pm] Jeremy: 2 days?
[2:37pm] Jeremy: you have contradicted yourself
[2:37pm] Jeremy: that is the minimum suspension
[2:38pm] Jeremy: since you would be going to 40%, it would be a week on our normal scale
[2:38pm] Jeremy: a month on your proposed one
[19:42] Jeremy: because we have a reasonable systemstormcommander said:[2:41pm] Jeremy: Jas0n, you would already be permabanned
[2:41pm] Jas0n: So why aren't I?
[2:41pm] Jeremy: because we have a reasonable system
We are already more strict than this because we don't worry about the "within two months" thing... so you have apparently also contradicted yourself :/Bacon Boy said:Hm... maybe more along the lines of this:stormcommander said:Average ban is about 3 days, so you think we should make that a week? If you've been warned 2 times (depending on the seriousness of the offense, you will either be banned for three days or warned.
If you've been warned 3 (2+ the 1) or more times in a consecutive period of two months, then you will be banned for a week.
Any further bans/suspensions will be discussed among the staff.
Does that work? I know it's a bit rough, but that could be the basis.
