OK so I wondered if any of you had some Japanese names you liked? (or liked for there meanings)

Boys -
Taiki
Yukito
Touya

Girls -
Akari
Hikari
Misuki
Rin
Kyoko

Mako.. idk I like the name short n sweet I guess.. Reiko, Kei.. and Umeko hence my username (and it's not too common..)

Hikari and Hikaru because of a roleplay I did with a friend..
Ayane is a name I love waaayyyy too much...
Can't think of anything else right now.

I like the name Reiko, because it's a variation of my name, and it sounds cool. I like using Yami and hikari together, not sure what Hikaru means...

Hikari is light, yami is darkness/evil/etc. :p

hikaru can be written as light as well and probably a ton of diff. things depending on the kanji

A lot of these names you're posting have meanings, like sakura is a cherry blossom. Th rest I don't quite know, but they're relatively easy to look up.

is this like the otaku thread??

uuuHHHHMMM THIS THREAD IS NOT THE 'OTAKU' THREAD WE ARE NOT OTAKUS OR WEEABOOS WE JUST LOVE JAPANESE CULTURE AND LOVE THE HISTORY AND THE PEOPLE AND THE ANIME AND THE MUSIC AND THE MANGA AND THE VENDING MACHINES LIKE THOSE ARE THE BEST AND THAT'S WHY WE ALL LOVE JAPAN SO PLEASE DON'T CALL US SOMETHING AS OFFENSIVE AS OTAKU.

Alright don't take me seriously it's a joke and it hurt to type. I do not actually think like that. It took some research to sound like a weeaboo.

Nah but seriously, there's nothing wrong with having a thread like this??

Okay, back on topic;

My friend really likes the name Aoi and I like it too.
Then there's Arata. Arata. I have fallen in love with Ayane and Arata. That's my final answer.

The meaning actually depends on the kanji the names are written with. The "sound" of the names themselves don't have a lot of meaning, usually.

Mio and Mayu from Fatal Frame have great names. Plus an awesome game but that's besides the point lol
