im hoping there are other people out there with jailbroken phones--which if you didnt know, it's just a way to give your iphone more options when it comes to customization. last time i checked, it's legal yet its not supported by apple

i havent had any issues with my phone after the first few weeks of jailbreaking it, and i dont even have that much installed, but now im trying to unjailbreak it but i couldnt find any reliable or up to date sources on doing so

i have a lot of issues now that just came out of nowhere, which are listed below;
- apps take literally hours to download and when i try updating them, they end up never updating
- when i try checking for software updates, it just stays on "checking for updates" endlessly
- instagram is really slow when it comes to typing, yet everything else is fine
- the app i use for music doesnt work anymore, and im assuming its because of something from cydia bc nobody else has the same issue as me

any help concerning any of these will be much appreciated

I've been jailbroken since March and I've never encountered any of those problems. Unjailbreaking, seeing if the problem persists, then re-jailbraking seems like a good idea, but if you don't feel like doing that then I'd say you should try removing tweaks one by one to try to figure out the problem.

i considered removing unwanted tweaks, but i have a lot of sources and tweaks that were added by my brother that i dont even know the difference between the important things i need and the ones i dont need. he doesnt live with us anymore so im on my own for this, so im a bit paranoid that i'll remove something essential that'll result to messing up the system or something

Aha, it's the curse of your long lost brother from the deathly hallows. X)...

my iphone's also jailbroken and there was this time when it would lag and crash so much my phone was barely unusable, i couldn't even use my music app either without it lagging ridiculously and i couldn't play music at the same time whilst in an app or it'll crash and it was so fkn annoying but yeah i uninstalled my theme (which was working perfectly for about a week) and then my phone was and still is fine, when i first jailbroke it i went through a ridiculous phase where i would add like every single tweak in cydia and yeah but now i keep mine sleek and simple yet still obvious it's jailbroken because x)

if you're going to unjailbreak your device because it's literally non functional then your best and safest shot is just factory resetting your phone all together, i hope you did a back up beforehand

hit me up for any tweaks or sources (:

i have a tweak that gives you back a ridiculous amount of memory apple have been holding and a tweak to majorly improve my battery life, a tweak to make all my animations fast as fk and another tweak that just clears up lag in apps altogether so yee hit me up gal

by the way, has your iphone been put in safe mode recently?

i did a backup before jailbreaking my phone, but when i tried restoring it, nothing happened for some reason--and i actually already have the tweaks for installing extra memory and increasing the speed of everything c: they're great and really useful; im pretty impatient so it drives me crazy when my phone lags or is just slow in general

it hasn't gone into safety mode since a couple months ago, but it has been crashing a lot. im not sure how to explain it, but whenever it crashes, there'll be this white dot in the middle of the screen and i wouldnt be able to get it working like normal until it runs out of batteries. thats been happening less often since i removed a few unnecessary tweaks though, so its not much of an issue anymore

I haven't had any issues like this (jailbroken iOS 8.3 iPhone 6)
Before restoring to factory , have you tried rebooting with disabling Curia substrate ? It's basically safe mode. You turn off the device with the home and power and wait until it boots up with the apple logo. Then press the volume up button while this is happened. Your phone should enter safe mode and most tweaks will not be running because they require substrate. This way you can see what the under lying problem is, try using things and see if it's still laggy etc. this is also good if you install a shady tweak that causes boot loops. You can easily uninstall tweaks using safe mode. Other than that maybe restoring to factory and rejailbreaking is your other option.

You'd have way better luck going to reddit.com/r/jailbreak and posting all your tweaks on there for people to evaluate what your problem is. The community on there has a lot to bring to the table in terms of telling you exactly how to fix any jailbreak problem. Pirated repos and tweaks don't usually provide the best support or new updates because well... they cracked and stole tweaks from the original creator. Also tweaks can clash with each other and cause crashes. Just post on reddit and try to get help that way. Post your firmware version and the tweaks you have
